Firefox isn't letting me open the link, at all... because the domain: cj.dotomi.com is blocked either by the browser or by an extention.

A web search seems to indicate that dotomi.com is a dodgy site.

edit: This link should goe to all the current Hue deals on Woot:

https://www.woot.com/plus/philips...lighting-7

(I got it by searching DDG with "site:woot.com philips hue")

That's how web trackers work. Slickdeals gets credit for the click on the link - potentially gets a commission on the sale

You have to be careful with woot. For instance, Hue Ludere for $69.99, well that is what you can find it for on sale at least once a month for.

Hue Lily 3 pack for $279, I bought a 4 pack from Costco a few months ago for $299.

The reconditioned stuff isn't badly priced, but still I'd be weary.

If you aren't running a hue hub and plan to bring your own zigbee, look into how to reset the bulb. Some solutions like Home Assistant with ZHA can't do it.

In regards to the color bulbs, Hue has recently released the new brighter 75W 1100 lumen version, so I expect to start seeing heavier discounts for the 60W color bulbs. Also Costco sells the 60W color bulbs new in a 4 pack for $32.50 each which beats this deal. And they sell the new 75W in a 4 pack for $37.5 each

The extension is $25 everywhere else new. Not sure if $5 saving is worth getting a refurbished.

Is this a current sale? Because I recently got interested in color bulbs and around $10 is the going price for other brands per color bulb. The Hue bulbs were the most expensive ones I saw everywhere. If you're saying they're less than $10 each right now that's an insane deal. I just checked them in the Costco app and it's showing $130 for a 4 pack.

edit: Nevermind. I re-read your post and see what you're saying now. You're saying it's the per bulb price in a 4 pack.

No that's the price for each bulb so total is 4x. Was just trying to compare to the individual bulbs in this post. I should have been more clear sorry

No problem! It made more sense later, as I was stuffing my face with dinner while sitting at a red light because I ran out the door to get to Costco for the Hue bulbs on sale. I didn't really but the Slickdeals in me almost did. Smilie

You've been on SD for 12 years and just now realized they automatically insert affiliate links into everything?

What is your point in asking, someone already answered his concerns previously. Also what does seniority have anything to do with someone's supposed knowledge of platform, it's not his fault that web protection software flags the ref links.

My pihole blocks all affiliates. Takes a few seconds to parse it and remove the headers

Good for you, not everyone has that knowledge or resources to set something up like that. My comment was towards @cruxion's disbelief and correlation that somehow having seniority or duration of a product should entail knowledge of platform inner workers. To put it it plain and bluntly, that anyone who makes an assumption based on someone's knowledge unless it's in relation to their job or career path. It's completely asinine to make that kind of assessment towards a consumer, no matter how long they have used the platform.
