I googled but wanna know members' opinions in this forum.

My sister just sold their house after more than 20 yrs of landlord. They can put aside 500K to invest in a safe way which is better than CDs: what would you do? They ask me the next level of risk just above CDs. Of course no more real estate.

Welcome to the crappy world of artificially low interest rates manipulated by the feds to prop up excessive government spending and Wall St. Bottom line is there are not many investment vehicles that return a decent yield beyond stock speculation (which eventually will crash despite the nonsense being spewed by some that markets never crash) and real estate speculation (which has been excessively high as people flee the cities and\or the blue states for greener, safer pastures).

That said, your next best fairly safe bet would be high rated, insured Muni bonds (triple tax free) or high rated corp bonds imo. However one should be aware that you want to own the bonds themselves and not funds of them as interest rates have only one way to go (up) and when they do, bond values will fall. Get a bond at X% for Y number of years and hold to maturity and it does not matter what interest rates do.

I am in the same exact shoes here. The CD rates are in all time lows horrible. I have some saving I been wanting to get some out of it, but I cant find anything that is safe and gives me more than the CD accounts.

If they are comfortable, investvoyager gives 9% interest APY on USDC (USD stable coin so it is pegged 1 to 1 to USD). If you own VGX (Voyager's token), you can get up to a 1.5% boost (total of 10.5% interest on USDC).

Main website: https://www.investvoyager.com/

Monthly Interest Rates can be found here: https://rewards.investvoyager.com/interest/

Interest gets paid out the 1st of every month.

If you are interested, I can provide my referral code. By investing $100, you will get $25 free Bitcoin if you use someone's referral code.

I understand people are scared of crypto so no pressure. The CEO is the former E-Trade CEO (Stephen Ehrlich).
