I'm just waiting for it to come back in stock. I had a rep who said if the $699 one came back in stock they price match it to the other one ($486) for me. Because its basically the same tablet. I'd believe it if its happens.

Yeah its just a different color. But they said its looks like the same tablet. So I hope its comes back in at either price and they honor it. They gave me some Chat ID to give to the next rep.

Don't bank on the next rep being willing to do the same thing. I had a Walmart rep promise me a pricematch. I had the reference # and everything. When the pricematch never went through, I spoke to another rep and the supervisor. They said tough.
Customer service reps are outsourced and there is no reason to believe any promises made will be kept.

I agree. But I got time currently. So I'll do whatever its take since they promised it.

Update on the 128GB "demo" version I received yesterday:
-Installed iOS15 fine.
-Downloaded app from appstore and ran them fine.
-Ran a touchscreen test and it was fine.
So far from what I can tell, there is nothing limiting or would set it apart from a retail ipad. If the 128GB comes back in stock, I would jump on it. There was one person who received a 4th generation by mistake but I imagine that mistake can happen with any refurbished product.

Going to GENERAL > BATTERY doesn't give me any data since the ipad was reset. Unless there is some other way (like an app) that can test the battery, I can't report on the battery health yet although I can say it charges to 100%.

Sorry, the message with intended for the person who had an ok for a price match. No way anybody else is getting that pm.
No worries. I tried and it went OOS while in the chat. They basically said get farked. Then again when it was in stock, they denied what the original rep said and my Incident Number doesn't mean anything. So giving me that number isn't going to work. So I rated their chat a 1 star. I think I'm done. Unless I see it go back in stock.
