The new promotion is available in Metro. Port in your number and get Samsung A32 5G free with a $25 plan. No trade-in is required.

Port-in from carriers is eligible for this promotion and not only Cricket and Boost.

T&C:

Get one line of unlimited with 5G included for $25/month, plus get a FREE Samsung Galaxy A32 5G when you switch to the power of the T-Mobile 5G network.

Limited time offer, in-store only. Requires eligible port and ID validation. After 24 months, $25 plan price may increase. Save half based on Boost $50 and Cricket $55 monthly unlimited plans. If congested, heavy data users (>35GB/mo.) may notice reduced speeds and Metro customers may notice reduced speeds vs T Mobile due to prioritization.

Adding Receipt in this post ($25 flat, no tax, no fees at Corp Store in California)

I have this plan, my account page shows 10GB hotspot and it works fine on my Pixel, but others have reported not enabling on their phone, YMMV. When attempting to use the hotspot it takes me to a page on the tethered device that says its not in my plan. PDA net works, but the language on the Metro plan makes it sound like you get "limited hotspot" if you're porting from Boost. Might try complaining to support.

No. Any T-mobile or T-mobile MVNO network would not work.

This phone is totally different from other metro Samsung devices. Boot up screen is T-Mobile instead of metro and no unlock app and also other metro apps like mymetro, metro zone and etc. it will unlock automatically after 180 days like metro’s iPhone. Anyone experienced with metro iPhone unlock can chime in.

Yes, It is locked for 6 months and eligible to unlock after 6 months. First month service is enough and you keep the phone at drawer and unlock it on 180th day.

Yes, you can port out immediately and people reported that they were able to unlock after port out too.

Metro is probably the last carrier to do all of this in store. Hope they offer this online soon.

Just came from the store (Davie, FL) and after giving them all my information, the sales associate couldn't process the transaction as the system is requiring an eligible trade-in.

I showed her the website text that only says: "Requires eligible port and ID validation." but she showed me that, when you click on "Get the details", the terms change to "Requires eligible port and qualified trade-in." and said the system wouldn't allow her to close the transaction without a trade-in phone.

I asked what would be considered a "qualified trade-in" and she said, literally any phone that's in good working condition and no screen cracks. Unfortunately, all my phones have cracked screens, but the guy next to her said even a device with a cracked screen might work, but none of them seemed to be confident in the information they were giving me.

All the phones I have at home have some screen damage, so I don't know if I want to go through this hassle again, or if I should just stick with Visible and get the Verizon network for the same price.

AD rep said it was ended on 10/04. If you select, See full terms, no trade-in mentioned. Previously it had trade-in with >$0 value required.

The BIG 5G Upgrade/Free Samsung Galaxy A32 5G:

After 24 months, $25 plan price may increase. Limited time offer, in-store only. Save half based on 1-line w/ Metro for $25 vs Boost $50 and Cricket $55 monthly unlimited plans.

$25/month for 1-line of unlimited smartphone data (tethering not included, limited tethering included with Boost $50 plan); unlimited while on-network. Offer requires qualifying port-in & ID validation. Excludes phone numbers currently on T-Mobile or active on Metro in past 180 days. Tax due at point-of-sale on pre-rebate price. Rebate provided in form of credit against regular purchase price at time of sale and has no cash value. May not be combinable with certain other offers

Yes! That's what I showed her (I actually clicked the "see full terms" in front of her. She went back to the computer but still told me the system wouldn't allow the transaction.

no, you have to wait for 6 months for the phone to unlock. after unlocked then you can use it on T-mobile.
you can just pay 1 month of service. put phone in drawer for 6 months then it will unlocked.

Is this at any of their stores, or only Corp owned stores (none here last I checked).

So, port a number in from somewhere, pay $25 for one month of service, then wait 6 months for it to unlock, and then you can use it on Tmo?
