1. It often takes a long time running around aimlessly and staring for dozens of minutes at your map to figure out where to go next. I was stuck about three times which took what would have been a 7 or 8 hour game to almost 11 hours. Of course this is nothing new for the franchise but it's something to be aware of.
2. Once you've fully unlocked your suit and feel like a god there's not much to do but beat the final boss and look for missiles/energy containers. I would have liked a few more tricky areas and bosses to face as full powered Samus.
3. There aren't that many bosses. There are 6 ridiculously easy mini-mini-bosses that are exactly the same, each one right before an E.M.M.I (the invincible things that hunt you down) which are all actually pretty easy themselves once you're powered up. There's another set of recurring mini-bosses that can be kind of tricky, and then a handful of actual bosses, one of which is just doubled from before. The only one that will prove very tricky is the final boss and the mini-boss before it. Kind of disappointing, especially considering a fan favorite enemy never appears.
4. It's kind of samey to the last games. Don't get me wrong, it's by far the best controlled, but the environments while often pretty don't feel like they're tying anything new. It's essentially the same exact corridor/lava/ice system we all know and love.
All that aside I found it to be very entertaining. I'm already replaying it in hard mode and going for 100%. Strongly recommended.
For example, look at pricing for Zelda Breath of the Wild [pricecharting.com] or here [urlhasbeenblocked], it's basically been below $40 one time in the past 4.5 years.
If you waited for 2.5 years after release, and timed it correctly on Nov 28, 2019, you may have been able to purchase that game for $30.
I have no idea if Metroid will follow the same curve, but in general, if you are going to purchase and play a Switch game, and you can get $10 off the MSRP, you're doing pretty well (especially if you account for the ability to play it for years) if you buy it now.

and besides all my points this is standard walmart price for switch games, not a deal.
