Nice. I got mine for 279. Overall I am happy with it.

onemesh helps boosting coverage, but speed is much worse than dedicated mesh. you can't mix and match it with deco mesh.

This thing is huge, about the size of a mini chromebook. super thick. Antennas are fixed and can't be adjusted.

My house is 2k sqft, single floor, router is in the center of the house, coverage is sufficient.

Bought this at launch for $300. It's decent. Got plenty of coverage from it. However, for the first 6 months or so I couldn't get the maximum speed from my provider (Spectrum), I was only getting less than half of it. Sometimes it worked after a reboot but only for a short time. I called the ISP to make sure it's not their fault. It wasn't. Then, about 6 months ago TP Link released a firmware update which appears to solve the problem. It's working fine since then. I highly recommend you apply the lastest firmware to get the best functionality.

Serious question for you network experts... I am between this and the $850 Orbi unit from Costco RBK843S AX5700 WiFi 6 Mesh System. The satellites would be hard wired via ethernet backhaul. Am I better off just purchasing 3 of these (2 setup as repeaters) instead of the RBK843S? I love Orbi for the most part but this would actually end up being less expense and maybe better?
Get the orbi; just use two units and see how it goes if your gonna need a third

I got one of these last year when I upgraded my Internet to a "up to" 1 Gb connection. My old router (Netgear Nighthawk) couldn't handle the speed and throttled it. I am getting over 600 Mbps with this router, which is the max for my location. So not only is this router good for range, it's also good for bandwidth as well.
What is your wire speed. I tried this and the Asus version, and I both were slower than the Verizon Wifi 5 router.

I stopped using any Chinese made internet connected electronics. There is a higher chance of compromising your privacy by leaking out your information to Red China, as far as I read
Ok what is your list of wifi that is not made in china? Infact what is your list of "electronics' that are not made in china?

You might get away with saying "not china owned".

I changed from nighthawk to this. Way better connection with similar coverage. Nighthawk randomly started needing to be rebooted daily. Looked it up and it is a known issue.
im here for the same reason (nighthawk frustration)

Not sure how the handoff between repeaters is as your device moves through the house across zones. I thought the mesh network was designed to solve that issue. Am no network expert though.

My lord these routers look like something out of startrek that's about to take off and fly away 😂.

All seriousness, whats the point of 10 antennas? Feel like after 4 or so it's law of diminishing returns.
It makes it look impressive. I have this, like others said, works ok, probably can get other ones cheaper and get same performance. But this will impress your friends more

I bought this from Costco last year, tried it out and was very disappointed.
I returned it within a week.
I am on a Gigabit plan, and the speeds I got with this were SLOWER than my WiFi 5 Netgear Router.

Similar here. This router has everything, except the decent support for playing FPS game (CSGO for me) and fast data processing for NAS. The 2nd 5ghz Wi-Fi didn't work neither for whatever reason.
I switched to asus ax6000 to accommodate my 2 NAS systems and the CSGO gaming. Can't believe a 4 core router couldn't do those basic stuff. It could be just me but fyi.

My R7960P Nighthawk was very problematic & frustrating & requiring reboots... Then I turned off 20/40mh coexistence on 2.4 (lol) , implicit beam forming, mu mimo & airtime fairness. Then, another issue always creept with 5ghz going dead and turns out it was channel interference from all my neighbors, switching to high channel 153 solved it competely so I refrained from Costco (1yr) return, good thing as this router here might eat my dachshunds. laugh out loud

-3300sqft, ~60 clients

p. s. to Nighthawk lovers, still keep OG in garage as backup, the little engine that could

The best routers and APs look boring compared to this lol.

While I am sure these work, take a look at the unifi products for boring reliability.
