FYI, the Gram 16 was on sale for $1200 at Amazon all the way back on prime day, so hopefully we will see the same or better this Black Friday. The one one Amazon also had 16GB, but only a 256GB NVMe, which is easily upgradable. It comes in all black, which looks better than this silver one, at least to me.

I have a black LG Gram 16 and I like the color but it is a massive fingerprint magnet. The silver might be an advantage in this regard.

This is kinda everyday sales price at Costco if you can find it in stock, I have 2020 and 2021 gram 17" both are amazing laptops, 2021 has tb4 and around 20% faster cpu and 50% faster gpu biggest downside of 2021 is that ram is not upgradeable

meh deal. I get the gram's lightweight appeal, I do. But I wouldn't jump on this price unless you need a productivity laptop asap. Wait a month.

I have the 17", got it last year from Costco deal (I think it was $1100 then), and it's become my favorite laptop, and I've had (and still have) plenty of premium laptops (Dell XPS 15, HP Spectre13, etc).

Ridiculously lightweight, as light or lighter than 13" Spectre. Screen size and even more importantly aspect ratio is the best thing - it's similar to old 4:3, which give much vertical real estate, making it much more enjoyable to use (other manufacturers are finally catching onto this trend to go more vertical).

The bad: ram isn't upgradable without voiding warranty, and no dedicated graphics card. Also, not a touch screen, but I rarely use that functionality on my 2 in 1 laptop now anyways. Also, the alloy used for the casing isn't very robust (which is how they get it so light) - so if you beat the crap out of your laptop's this might not be the one for you. If you treat your stuff well, won't be an issue. I travel with mine frequently, just keep it in a neoprene sleeve in my backpack

Very fast, doesn't get loud at all (quieter than every other laptop I have), and a joy to use day to day. Numpad is awesome to have, looks like this year they added a second USB-C/thunderbolt port, making it even better. Can't say enough good things about it

Feel how you want about price but I've had the 16 and 17" version of this and it's the best laptop I've ever had (if gaming doesn't matter). Battery life is insane.

Yep, same here (using it at the moment) and you're spot on with the price. I've not hit any processing/hardware limitations due to the way I use the computer.

The fingerprint recognition gets flaky for me every once in a while, but overall it's been a solid computer.

You know! I tried the same Iris graphics on a 17" Inspiron. It was't awful but I need a little better gaming performance to make me content. An AMD chip should fix that. For an extra pound the current Inspiron 17" 7000 has a gorgeous 3:2 QHD touchscreen. I think it craps all over the Gram and I have loved the Gram series since its introduction.

How's the sound on the 17", my last couple practically mute on max volume. Also how about the brightness, not planning to take it outside but I don't like dim screens.

Same here. I have last year's version of the 17" (10th gen i7) and I love it. Great battery life, fast, and held up very well over the last year and a half. I upgraded RAM to 40gb (8 is soldered, 32 stick added) and 2tb nvme - it's awesome.

Played with one at Costco today, very disappointed in the trackpad. It's glitchy, stutters, and no way as smooth as a MacBook. Pass!
