I dont think this is a good deal. Its much smaller than you might think

All 3 of these combined has less surface area and height than my edsal 24x48x72 storage rack (same design) that i bought for $58 each. Probably a lot less sturdier too

Can't exactly comment on the value, but I'm not sure why you would say less sturdy, as 3 of these combined would have much more metal support per shelf than your single rack. I have many racks just like the one you describe and too much weight on them can make the middle of the shelf start to bow. The 24x48x72 shelves are great but they have large expanses of space in the middle of the shelf with no support at all.

I can see how a setup like this, while perhaps less surface area, could offer much more strength per shelf.

Anyway my guess with shelving like this is the metal is the real expense. There's a lot of metal pictured here.

Agreed, completely. If you see this in person, you're going to be disappointed. Unless you're putting foam blocks on the shelves. They're very weak.

Point taken. Ive put a lot of weight on my shelves and they are going strong. I do try to put heavier stuff closer to the edges as well.

Maybe years down the road ill buy one 4x8 plywood sheet cut into quarters and that would provide plenty of support for 4 of the tiers.

Anyways, I still think its a bad value. I mean picture in your head 1 foot by 2 feet (27 inches to be exact). Thats a TINY storage shelf.

This is a terrible price. You can get the 18" deep 4'wide racks on Black Friday for under $40 for the past several years. Do not buy these at this price.

Everything is 20-100%+ more then it was pre covid. Helping push the clean environment is not helping any either. Feel sorry for the people that were just making it before covid. Rolling shelving units I purchased on ebay pre covid for $50 delivered are over $100 now. Really upset because the olives that I purchased at Costco have increased in price..

True, but not everyone wants or can fit 24" deep shelves.
Plus, the one you linked is at least out of stock at all Sam's clubs in DFW metroplex, not to mention they show a price of $69, not $58, according to the app.

If you build them half height, you can have 7 linear feet of surface area as a workbench to line the wall of a garage and still have room to open a car door.

The picture says free assembly. I wonder if they come to your house or do you need to bring the box to Walmart.

really need larger ones with casters. Really don't want to go DIY with 2x4s but not sure anything else out there is reasonable.

These only have 12" depth. That's pretty small and seems rather useless for a garage.

Who wants a 12" deep work "bench?" Sounds more like a clutter shelf.
