One weakness is the power port, which has failed on one of my older machines (back in the Pentium 3 era). My biggest concern today is the hinges, which can be weak as well.
In comparison, my day-job company provides me with Dell business machines (Latitude series). My personal HPs have outlasted and outperformed them all.
I have, in fact, just recommended this machine to a coworker who is happy with his two kids' HP machines to date as well. He just wants something newer and low cost, and this is a great option.
Again, these are just opinions, and I'm not calling you out... I just wanted to provide the contrasting opinion to other readers..

I paid $240 for my 55" 4K TV so how is that not in the bargain aisle?
So they absolutely should have HDMI 2.0 or Thunderbolt 4. There is no good justification for not having it.
A recent one had both for $500 so no it is not a high priced item.
