This is 50% off their regular price - usually sale prices are around $60. It looks like this model is discontinued. Philips Has a very confusing array of models with small differences in functionality and lare differences in price. This one and the 4100 get you most of the useful features - Lion battery, multiple intensities, and all the heads are interchageable so you can use any of them on this one as well.

Philips has a website to process it, I did not register it when I originally purchased so that is not required.

Just filled out a form and submitted my receipt. Had a replacement about a week later and they also included a return label to recycle my old one due to the battery. No cost at all.
We have a number of different models of sonic care brushes in the household and as far as I have seen, they all take the snap on brush heads. The main brush wand has a small metal piece that sticks up into the brush head. I buy brush heads mostly at Sams and they only difference I can tell is the stiffness of the brushes. They all fit on the unit.

Hope that helps. And just as an FYI, if you are worried about this model, sonic care brushes are popular BF deals so if you wait, you can probably find a good deal at WMT or Target or …
I have a more basic version of this brush with a Li-Ion battery and a single charge can last 2 weeks. If you only charge when it gets low instead of every day then the battery will last.

Comments say they no longer make replacement brush heads for this model? Can anyone verify that?

As far as I know, the sonicares accept each others' brushes. I.e., you can put the DiamondClean bristles on a Sonicare 4100 or vice versa. So, it shouldn't be an issue but someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Lots of reviews saying this doesn't last very long. After a year to two years, the battery dies

Does anyone know if this model comes with the "beep every 30 seconds" feature? That's super helpful for my kids to know when to move to the next zone.

Good thing they have a 2 yr warranty. Just replaced a 4100 that was a year and half old. Battery was fine but the metal stem got loose and made it very noisy. Replacement process was very easy.

May want to check out the knock off brand AquaSonic on Amazon. For around the same price, comes with higher VBM motor & 8 replacement heads. The battery also lasts a whole month. I've had it for about 2 months and no issues so far.

So you just worked with the mfr and everything was free? Did you have to register the product or anything?

Same thing here. I have two DiamondClean brushes, but they both died after less than 2 years daily use. The warranty is great indeed, but.. longer product lifetime please, Philips!
