I use one of these as a secondary switch dock, when I go to friends or just to keep in my switch case for when the opportunity rises and it comes in pretty useful.

I have this and they work great if your expectations are extremely low. I plug one of them to my tv so all mouse keyboard and hdmi can be linked. I have one connected to old small monitor which acts as workstation for anyone with laptop at home.

Definitely not a full fledge primary docking station solution.

I can see how it would work for HDMI with a Switch, but since this doesn't have PD doesn't your solution only last for a few hours of gaming before it dies? Or am I misunderstanding your use case?

Mine has a usbc in? But even for some temporary play for a few hours would still pretty decent for 10 bucks Imo. But that would depend on your needs.

This won't charge your Switch, but yes, if you're ok with witch battery life this could provide HDMI output in a pinch.

I remember watching a video where some of these hubs don't actually do what they're suppose to. Especially the specs for HDMI that claim 60hz. This one dont' do that since it's 30hz, but should probably check right away all the ports work and stuff.
