From when I did this over the summer:

The parts needed: breaker $25, breaker interlock $50, inlet box $50, 40 ft NG hose $75, 4 prong 30 amp 75 ft power cord (to reach the back yard) $150.

Before labor, it will cost roughly $350-$400 in parts to hook this generator up to you main panel.

California people: bought this last sale and received an additional $400 from California Edison. Was told I qualified for $200, but was sent a check for $400. Not sure if it is still eligible for the rebate.

Previous threads had complains that this has a high THD (25%) - typical for these low end type of devices. This will make your LED lights flicker and your robot wife act like it's that time of the month.

I personally don't think this is super concerning - just something to keep in mind.

Just spent 15min looking. Looks like they no longer offer the rebate for this model. SoCal Edison looks like they set up their own marketplace, and even though the will rebate for outside purchases, have pared down the list of qualifying generators.

Most transfer switched that I've looked at support 6-10 breakers. You don't need to run your whole house. These switches allow you to connect directly to the specific breakers you want to run. All homes nowadays are 100 amps plus. Getting a switch for a 30 amp 220 vac generator is just fine. Just make sure the load on the breakers you're connecting to don't exceed you gens capacity.

I added a 50A input circuit and a breaker interlock. $200 in parts. Works fine on everything but main AC.

Breaker interlock is much cheaper and flexible. And completely legal. Only downside is that u wont know when power is back on.

Only thing I can think of is because it comes with the trifuel kit which usually run around $150-$200
