Have been following these for a few months waiting for additional markdowns during the Wal-Mart end-of-season grill clearance. Most stores nearby have had it for $367 for several weeks, but I missed when one store marked theirs down to $250. Checked brickseek this morning and found another store had theirs reduced to $199 with 3-4 in stock. This is a store I've always had good luck finding brickseek deals at. Went by before lunch and picked one up for $199 and there were still three left on the shelf.

As stated YMMV. Brickseek is for info only, seems to be more accurate at certain stores more than others. Walmart won't honor the price shown on Brickseek. In most cases you're going to go have to physically verify if your store has one.

For those looking, check the lawn and garden centers, sometimes in the outer sections where the plants normally are. Some stores have pretty much cleared out all their grilling items, others are still working on it.

Also found the cover for this discounted ($30 vs $50) at some stores as well

The Louisiana Grills are excellent quality, they are made by Dansons, the same company that makes Pit Boss. Comparatively, there is no comparison - the LG is superior in every way. There's a reason this is marked down to $199, and often with pellet grills, you get what you pay for. If you're torn between the two, you're much better off saving money and going with an LG or other quality pellet grill brand. Multiple reports of these grills parts breaking, handles, glass cracking during normal use, auger clogs and more. Another consideration is "all in one" devices that tend to do nothing particularly well. But 200 bucks is not much for any grill, so if you don't mind rolling the dice, maybe you can get a year out of it.

It's a third it's asking price but has a huge number of 1 star reviews. Reviewers say it lasts 6-12 months and has all kinds of problems.

I've noticed a trend in the BBQ smoker market. Companies are releasing 'smart' smokers with features like automatically brisket feeding, and bluetooth remote monitoring of internal temperatures. The problem is the first generations are horrible. They put in thin sheet metal that rusts out, install plastic fans in 700F+ BBQs, flakey bluetooth hardware that isn't weather or heat resistant, and fail to properly shield and insulate electric components from the heat of the BBQ. So you have a BBQ that rusts out, has melting parts, and 4-5 electric components that constantly fail. I suspect we are 5+ years away from a 'smart' bbq that isn't trash.

At $200 instead of $600 it makes for a good toy. It would be a tictok style challenge to challenge a buyer to research all of it's flaws and impliment hacks to solve them all. Such as painting the sheet metal panels that rust out with quality high temp paint when it's new. Sheilding the electronic components with insulation, and such. It would probably still fail in the end. Too many problems with unclear solutions.

Here's a link to some of the cuts I've done in the past. Quality pellets definitely go a long way to getting a decent bark. I use it probably every other weekend. Not once have I had any issues with it going out and having to reignite manually.

I always empty the burn box/ ash after every use. I keep the hopper loaded even when not in use although there is a way to empty it using the built in mechanism.

Hopper holds about 20lbs so more than enough for just about any smoke at low temps. Ive only used it at temps above 250 a handful of times because it really eats through pellets at higher temps. I keep it covered with a nice cover from Costco anytime it is not in use. So far no rust. I'm in the Midwest. It's worked fine while getting rained on.

Holds temps beautifully within about 5 degrees of what you set it to. Bluetooth works but you need basically clear line of sight. It does not go through walls very well.

I'm happy to answer any specific questions anyone might have.
I have one. Ignore Bluetooth and don't use the app; use Weber iGrill or something similar instead. Everything else on it works perfectly. It's an excellent buy for $200, and much more than a toy.

Also got one for $199. Very impressed so far.

While it doesn't have that classic pellet smoker look, so I have been very impressed with the results. Only downside so far is the grill heats a bit uneven - which is extremely common with pellet grills. Bluetooth app range is also low (would prefer wifi).

This thing has tremendous build quality, huge hopper, cool features such as a griddle and sear area, good max temps, and a huge cooking area.

Do you have any other pellet smoker experience to compare this to? I've had the Pit Boss Whiskey Still for 2 years that I got for 99 via this type of Walmart/Brickseek close out.

I love the food I cook on it and I love the ease of a pellet smoker, but I hate the design of my specific one. It's vertical and cylindrical, so the cabinet's much wider in the middle than the door is. I can't even fit a rack of ribs or a large brisket, and even a large pork shoulder is a pain.

I really want the Pit Boss Lockhart 4 in 1 but I missed it at the one store that dropped and the others nearby are all still full price. My local store has the 4 in 1 Memphis for $200, but as far as I can tell, the smoker component on that own requires wood and not pellets.

From most of the reviews I've read on this It is a piece of junk. Cuisinart seems to be dipping their hands in too many pots. They make coffee makers, air purifiers, knives, pots and pans, many other things, and now pellet grills. They need to focus on creating good products instead of trying to create mediocre products of everything. I used to have a lot of Cuisinart items in my kitchen. A lot of them died really quickly. All I have left is a toaster.

If you're going to invest a lot of money in a grill, spend it on a company that specializes on grills. Otherwise you're just throwing your money away.

They seem to be built fairly well. This model weighs 198lbs assembled.

Pellet grills are much more complex than a standard propane or charcoal grill.

Heating element, ability to set and keep a specific temperature, ability to feed new pellets etc.

$200 is not a lot of money when it comes to pellet grills

I know it's not a lot of money. It's wasting money if you buy it then it breaks in a couple months and you have to buy another one. There's plenty of better deals. A third of the reviews are one star. That's saying something

Walmart has the Cuisinart Woodcreek 4 in 1 pellet grill on clearance for 199.99 at a couple of Walmarts within 45 minutes of me, but my local Walmart is still selling for 429.99. So YMMV
