Zenni was incredible few years ago but ever since I found goggles4u, I haven't looked back. It was usually much cheaper without sacrificing quality since they always have some sort of large % off coupon. I'd give them a shot. It ships from china like zenni so it'll take a while.

Apparently, Goggles4U has a 30% off sale going on now too, as well as a BOGO sale. I've never used them but I will check them out and compare prices.
I have been completely satisfied with Zenni for a few years now. No complaints. I could be wrong, but I don't think they (still?) ship from China. I believe they have warehouses or fulfillment locations in the US, and the glasses usually arrive pretty quickly (in my experiences).
My zenni glasses usually come from canada... where is this china accusation coming from? This sounds like a competitor posting crap.
They are made in China, and probably batch shipped to Canada for import duties (that's a guess). Anyway I have used many of these companies and like them all. Just get the ones with the frame style you want. Zen I has been great, glassesusa, etc.

Zenni has changed for the better. Yes they at least used to manufacture in China, which isn't necessarily bad, but it usually took a very long time (like 3-4 weeks) to get glasses. My past few orders have been more like 10-14 days, so either they have streamlined the supply chain or have been doing some manufacturing stateside.
Can we use some app for the prescription or do we have to get a real exam?
app for Rx? Can't tell if serious or....
You don't need to upload any "real" Rx, meaning you can fark up the Rx all you want, but I don't know of any app that's going to give you a good Rx. If your Rx is off..... heck if your PD is off by too much, it can at the very least give you headaches, eye strain, etc. Spend some money and go to a Dr.

Not sure if any of the other places do this but Zenni will just sell you frames too, and cheaply. With 4 kids, I've bought *just frames* a few times when the kids invariably step on them or otherwise break them. Some hot water, lenses pop out and pop in and you're good to go for like $10-$15 (dep. on frame).

A real exam is the only thing that's going to be accurate.
But when I was in a pinch, I just started with my last known prescription as a tentative baseline and got 3 different glasses with gradually increasing prescriptions (the combined price was still pretty cheap thanks to a deal) based on how far off I think my new prescription would be (basically how much weaker my vision was with the current glasses). Then I settled on the one that felt the best/clearest. Obviously not completely precise, but good enough for my needs.
I use my other 2 glasses for running and working out and taking a bit more abuse than I would want to subject my every-day pair to. So it wasn't really a waste.

Zenni has a crappy return policy. They will only refund you 50% of the costs or a one-time 100% store credit. If you don't like the glasses you bought with store credit then you'll get a 50% refund. Unless you have a universal face for glasses that's way too risky to buy glasses there imo (which I have). It's easy to get glasses that don't fit or don't look as nice as you thought they did when buying online.
Last time I checked Firmoo and EyeBuyDirect have 100% refunds for every order. I would try them first. Goggles4u policy says it offers a full refund but not sure if it's for the first order only. I would contact them to be sure.

I think they are headquartered in Hong Kong. Labs that make the glasses etc not 100% sure. They ship it to a port city so on tracking the first location you see will be the port city picking up the item.
So in the US it normally starts in California. This is a common method of shipping items out. Container full in China, shipped to the Country and labeled and shipped out.

Can you blame them? They are making custom glasses for you, basically once they are made, the lenses are trash if you return them. What would otherwise prevent you from buying a dozen pairs them returning them all just because you didn't like them?

I can't pull up the T&C any more since I've redeemed it, but I don't think there were any exclusions.
