accidental protection for TV

20 54 October 12, 2021 at 12:01 PM
Does anyone have an accidental warranty coverage on your tv? If so, who is your provider?

My 3 yr old son threw his bottle on our 75 inch tv and broke the display. So I am looking for a new tv and wondering if accidental protection would cover incidents like this.

Do they cover for extended period? I think most credit cards cover only for 90 days or so

It's typically longer. https://www.nerdwallet.com/articl...d-warranty

The real question is if these warranties will cover accidental damage. Most I have seen cover manufacture defects.

I use the accidental warranty coverage on my Citi credit card. I just use it on all my electronics purchases. Pretty simple.
