Be prepared to wait. I ordered my XPS on Labor Day, Order delayed until the end of October.
If the ASUS ever actually ships, it's still a better deal than this. Standard components, standard case and easily upgradeable/swappable for the future. Dell will cut every corner available. I got a G5 desktop last year with a core i3 and an RX 5700xt. The Radeon crashes a ton under load and the motherboard didn't even have a HDMI or DP port on it to save a few bucks.
Yuck, a mechanical HDD and 8GB. I guess if you really need a graphics card.

Not many better choices out there if you need gaming desktop. All those desktops without proprietary parts are sold out immediately, GPU is still hard to get for reasonable price.

I had two Dell desktops and two HP, with CPU cooler mod and extra fan on case, they are quiet.

Was curious from those that purchased it and received it already... is the the normal 2-fan RTX 3060, or the mini single fan one?

Still sitting on my ASUS ROG R7 from Walmart placed last week, which is now in "delayed" status and likely to be cancelled... curious how this Dell stacks up (4GB less memory) and I know their mobos and cases are trash. Really hoping the ASUS comes through but not looking like it.

I thought the Asus from walmart had a 2060 Super? Edit: nvm, it was a different Asus machine at that same price!

Any ideas how many drives I can fit inside and max ram?
From site:

Quote :
...plenty of storage with capacity for one 3.5" HDD plus two 2.5" NB drives
...up to 64GB of memory
At the same time

Quote :
...memory of up to 128GB DDR4 (32GB x4) at 2933MHz
And couldn't find anything 'bout m2 slots. Dell as usual post basic info for all rigs in this line...

Thanks, that's what I assumed. Will wait another week or so...

IMO, the ROG is way nicer than this Dell. This Dell only has 8GB of ram, no ssd, probably proprietary components.... etc.

If you are near a microcenter, and dont mind spending $1200, this Powerspec G509 IMO is a better deal than both the ROG and the Dell. The PowerSpec has a better Case(Lian Li), better power supply, 16GB ram, 500GB SSD, the AMD Wraith cooler and Windows 10 Pro.

I know wraith isnt the best cooler, but much better than the hunk of junk I pulled out of my Rog. The Rog also does not fit a Hyper 212, because it is too tall. I installed a CM T20.

10% back offer with some AMEX cards, 8% back with Rak. Likely the bypassable gen 1 "lhr" card to help pay for itself more quickly if interested
