Without it being able to also take 120v power, it really sets it behind the Milwaukee M18. There are a lot of times I use my Milwaukee with an extension cord.
This complaint comes up every post on this tool but I wish Dewalt would revise this tool to have dual power options - 20v battery or 120vac.

If I didn't already have the M12 Rocket, I'd probably jump on this deal.

Dangit. I just bought this for 139.99 without the battery. The battery is easily worth the 50,but is it worth me returning and rebuying.

I used this tripod light just last night- it really saved me. It has its flaws (and they are not insignificant), but when you need it and when it delivers, it's worth every penny… to the point that I'm buying another just so I have it one day.

The 120V option is a no brainer. I bought a greenworks on sale super cheap and it even has the 120v option. Wish it had a super low light option, just to give it a very long life in a blackout.

I'm in the same boat as you. I just got the m12 rocket and love it. I don't need the dewalt, but I damn sure want it!

I guess it depends on how valuable your space is. If you're just driving your car, probably too big. If you have a camper, probably fine. In between, probably up to you, but I don't think it looks any bigger than a cot. I'm thinking about getting it for something similar plus work. The other lights I have are portable, but don't really spread the light, so I hope I have a bright, reflective surface nearby.

The msrp is crazy on dewalt; i seen this maintain price even though it's like 4 years old

This product needs to be refreshed by dewalt; it doesn't need any more battery kits associated

Decided to pull the trigger. I have many DeWalt products and even though I would prefer dual power options like Milwaukee, I have several DeWalt batteries and I wouldn't be using this for long periods of time

I have a October 21st delivery date

Man, I hear you cuz I have this one and at that time, I wanted the mil M18 with dual power. But this one was on a can't pass deal so I grabbed it. I do also have the lutec plug in tripod light and here's what I noticed, I don't use the lutec as often as I use the dewalt due to the cord hassle. Last year, Oklahoma City had a 10+ day power outage during winter and this DeWalt was our house's main source of light...and it lasted a while on a 4ah battery. We do have a power generator going but plugging another light in is another power draw on the generator that we were maxing out already with the frig and several heaters.
