The cards have words on them instead of pictures. I am not sure which version I like better.
I personally prefer Pictures better because it's universal. It can be played with anyone regardless of their English skills or in a completely different language altogether.
However, I find regular Codenames is a bit easier to play simply because you can make multiple correlations to pop culture or literary references. But it usually leans towards the player who has the best vocabulary.
