Thanks OP. These look like a copy of the Rubbermaid step-ons that are my favorite inexpensive cans. I really like the system for holding the bag inside. Got the Grey, Nice to finally have an option other than black or white.

One tip- I get some cheap weights at the thrift store to plop down in the bottom before putting the bag in. Makes the trash can feel much more substantial and stable. .
I got a joke about a trash can!
Never mind, it's garbage.

Anyone know how this will stand up being used outdoors? Hopefully the plastic doesn't crack

I didnt like the Rubbermaid version. Got it at Home Depot and returned. Bag holder seemed over engineered to me. But... I am also a grumpy old man.

Reading the Home Depot reviews - i am not alone...

Note - this is not the can posted in this deal... But looks the same.

This thread seems like the best place to ask for help. I'm looking for a step-on full open trash can that you can walk away from and the lid stays open, then step on the pedal again to close it. I have not been able to find one in the 13 gallon size. All of them are 'stand here forever with your foot on it if you want to have the lid open,' or 'touch the filthy lid, you animal.' I don't want a swing lid, nor a sensor-open, it doesn't have to be soft-close, etc. But it seems no one makes them, not in plastic, not in stainless. I don't want a slide lock thing you have to touch to keep the lid up. I have two old rubbermaid 11 gallon cans that do this, and they were nigh impossible to find when I was shopping 6 years ago, but I'm looking for a solution for at my g/f's place to replace a horrible, no-good pita can asap. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Do these have a spacer for putting the trash can against the wall like the simplehuman ones? If you don't know what I'm talking about, simplehuman has a spacer on the back so when the lid opens it doesn't scrape against the wall or tilt the whole trash can when it's touching the wall. The pictures make it seem like it doesn't have this feature, but maybe someone has hands-on experience.

You trying to make 3-pointers from across the kitchen? The reason those don't really exist is that there's not much of a use-case for that. You go to the can to throw something away. Being away from a trash can with it open is generally the opposite of what people want and would make the majority case of require two steps to operate the lid.

Some people will need to be careful with that tip because some pickups use the arm to lift and dump the can into the truck, so your weight will be gone too if not secured.
Where are 13 gallons used for outdoor garbage pick-up?
