Humble Bundle Create with Visual Impact! Corel Paintshop Pro 2021, Painter 2021, VideoStudio Pro 2021, and AfterShot Pro 2021 $30

For those who are looking to get into anything editing this bundle cant be beat. Paintshop pro 2021 is a very popular alternative to Adobe Photoshop. Not only does it come with PaintShop Pro but all the other video/photo editing software too and tons of effects. Really surprised this wasn't posted already, I know its 2021 and there is a 2022 release already out, but if you like 2021 you can upgrade to 2022 in the future at a discounted price.

This is a great deal for these products. Corel used to have some good sales and they are dabbling in pretty onerous subscription models for their flagship software. But for Painter alone, $30 is great. I have PSP 2021 as a photo editing option (although there are many out there). VideoStudio used to have the crown for fast editing of large files, but that was quite a while ago. I'd be on board, but VSP is the only product I could use and it's in the highest tier.

Are these software easy to use? Easy to learn? Similar to photoshop in terms of how to perform different operations?

I'm sold. Thanks for the writeup. On another note, do you have a favorite PDF editor? Getting tired of the subscription model.

How do these compare to the Adobe elements products? I'm no pro, but I like doing a little bit of editing for family movies and things like that. I'm currently using premiere elements 2014 and want to upgrade to something more modern.

Seems like a great deal!
After paying, do they then give you a code to download this software?

You need to be competent enough to want to learn, but in almost all cases very easy to pick up if you really want to get into digital editing. Also just about every feature has a tutorial available to it on youtube which makes learning even easier.

Corel for many years has made some of the best alternatives to Adobe, and with the latest optimizations it should speed up video editing compared to your 2014 version. You would be primarily interested in VideoStudio Pro 2021, overall its a high quality product. Not to mention for $30 to get the rest of them compared to a new elements purchase of $100.

A good review on it here:

Wish I could offer some good "hands on" experience, but I don't daily drive these type of apps (not a photographer, director, etc.). I just like to have good tools on hand if the price is right.

I have bought the Elements packages during Black Friday deals over the years but never really used them. They seem to take quite a bit of drive space for what they are, but I would imagine that if you were trying to follow full-blown Photoshop tutorials and techniques, then it would be worthwhile. If you just need photo editing software now and then and are willing to poke around a little to figure it out, that's where having Paintshop Pro in your back pocket is handy. Affinity Photo (rebranded Serif product) is another example and they frequently have $25 sales. There are also photo effect software from On1 and Skylum if you are less interested in pushing the pixels and more interested in applying look and feel recipes, etc. These effect modules often integrate into Photoshop and Elements, so if you want to integrate the two technologies, then that's another plus for Adobe.

There are not too many alternatives to Painter. It really is amazing as a digital art canvas, especially for < $30. Every now and again, Humble Bundle will have Rebelle from Escape Motions which is similar, but seems to stress how the digital art and paper work together. Again, for the price of these bundles, it's worth it to have around if you need it.

As for the video editing - I haven't used VSP for a long time. However, I was considering learning DaVinci Resolve.

I know that trials exist, but I generally cannot set aside time in a 30 day window to really get into a product. But I will throw some money at a perpetual copy just to have around if the price is right.

If you are editing pictures taken with a modern iPhone and want to use the HEIF image format without conversion, that is not available until PSP 2022 (now released). I did purchase the Humble Bundle, as my Corel products were due an update. However, if I had taken the time to look into PSP 2022 first, I would have passed on this deal or even considered the bundle I just found on Corel's website: 79.99 for PSP 2022 Ultimate and Videostudio 2021 Ultimate. Those are the only 2 products I really use.

This is a great deal for Painter 2021. I'm ok running a year behind, and seems worth the price to upgrade from Painter 2020. It'll be nice to get some new brushes, too!

I'm not sure about Video Studio - wasn't impressed in the past, and I've been pretty happy with the free version of Davinci Resolve, which is actually quite powerful and has great performance.

Aftershot Pro 3 is from 2016, and I found very lacking. They've basically abandoned this software and just hand it out like candy. It's kind of embarrassing for Corel - either put some development into it or cancel the product, already.

PSP feels horribly outdated to me (screams of Windows 3.1 still), is not intuitive, and incredibly slow. For what it does, I'm happier to use GIMP, which is free.

PSP 2021 has added AI to their program which makes fixing pictures and images incredible easy, I saw a couple of examples on youtube of removing noise and brightness issues it was night and day differences. Then they also added ways to take low pixel images and still be able to blow them up and make them look good. So overall its not as bad as you make it sound.

As for VSP I dont use it either, but they supposedly updated all the software to take advantage of the latest processor and gpus so it should accelerate editing time, and even a little increase is better than none cause it takes forever to edit video.

Corel is a very good company. Very solid products. Their VideoStudio is the best in my opinion. Very easy to use. Their Paintshop Pro was the first photo program I used. I used it back in the day to make my websites believe it or not.
