Def much better than the mavic mini 1.
relaxed is not the right word. the faa will never "relax" any of the rules. there has been some clarification and now that recreational pilots are able to get laanc authorization, we can fly in controlled airspace during the daytime only and never at night (without a waiver). a recreational pilot has ALWAYS been able to fly at any time day or night in class G uncontrolled airspace. anyone who thought this wasn't possible in the past will believe the rules have been "relaxed" to now allow it but the truth is, it was never prohibited....for recreational pilots.
around my house, in controlled airspace, when the sun goes down, i cannot fly. and i have strobe lights (not "beacons") that can be seen for miles per the faa. personally i think it's silly to put a strobe light on a mini drone. no pilot in a manned aircraft is going to "swerve" to avoid a mini and as far as i know, there has never been a close call where a strobe has saved the day. strobe is a good idea but i think it's just another gotcha rule to keep recreational pilots under control. at less than 400 feet, manned aircraft don't need to be looking out for drones flying in uncontrolled airspace at night...that's not even a thing.
for those who may be to pay a little bit more but what will probably be a better drone, autel is coming out soon with a nano drone, check it out: http://autelrobotics.c
Because hobbyists have always been able to fly at night (in uncontrolled airspace, anyways), and it doesn't require *strobes*, but you do need some lights so the craft can be seen by you. (It's hard to fly something by VLOS if you can't see it.)
The 107 rules did prohibit nighttime flights at first without a waiver, but I think maybe that I heard that this changed to some degree since?

I have the costco bundle, and I'm comparing it with the flymore bundle sold here.
The differences are the flymore bundle comes with replacement blades, 1 extra battery and mutli charger. The costco bundle comes with a bag (backpack) and an extra battery as well. Plus a memory card, but those are a dime a dozen.
Considering all that, I would still go with the costco bundle. The costco return policy + warranty is definitely worth it from costco. Newegg only give a 30 day return/refund policy, and the warranty is probably shorter as well.
