I have to agree, as even when I do use pocket holes that are precisely spaced, I still fill the holes as an accent with a different type of wood, acrylic or epoxy. Ugly open pocket holes allow humidity and outside, a great place for bugs. With expansion/contraction in woods, the best only pocket hole joinery always comes loose in time, always and why we use glues.
Kreg gets the job done with their older, tried and true jigs, but instead of improving on those, we are getting all these new models that being largely plastic and often friction fit, just screams of being junk for a premium price. I know, so called superior plastics are advocated by some, but I would pay $10 to $20 more to have manufactured out of say, aluminum with threaded drill guides for when they start getting sloppy..... a tool that looks and acts like the quality they are charging for to sit beside other quality tools in a limited space for most.
