A previous deal mentioned that this includes the laser engraver. Is that correct?

The previous deal had an option for the engraver. Or filament dryer Or crtouch. Or two printers or five. However all these options cost more than 170.

The discount was 15% last month for reference and the prices were lower prior to discount. This is still a decent price.

Refurbished are fine, but do expect to have a few minor fixes. For me, the "carbonaro" side of the glass bed had been sanded down likely to remove scratches. Also, make sure you go through and tighten all the frame bolts as mine had some loose ones and was not printing right until I found the loose bolts. Same with wheels as my bed was a little loose on the rails. Overall I'm happy with my purchase last month at $161 shipped. The money saved on refurbished was used to buy a bltouch, and some of the other basic upgrades (Capcon tube, yellow springs, New glass bed). I also had funds left over vs new to get brass brush, deburr tool, xacto knife, and cheap digital caliper. I upgraded to Jyers Marlin firmware for BL touch with UBL 10x10 mesh and I was printing successfully shortly thereafter.

Not sure if prices will drop further, but might be worth waiting if you're not in a rush. Otherwise, still a decent deal vs the $280 price point new.

Stay away from comgrow especially comgrow refurb. My power supply arced and fried and getting comgrow to replace it was a 1 month experience in hell... Turns out they failed to actually tighten the terminals and replaced some wires with undersized firehazards...

That is true except these are comgrow "refurbs"... I had to get creality involved in the issue when I had one because comgrow wouldn't respond and creality said they aren't involved in what comgrow does to refurbish a printer.

comgrow as a company is garbage and their refurb process is even worse.

eventually it took a PayPal complaint and investigation to get comgrow to respond and send a new power supply over 1 month later. fyi the power supply arced 2 days after I got it and set the printer up

Comgrow has top tier support through Amazon, YMMV.

As for the fire hazard. Anyone looking to buy a refurbed E3v2, I'd suggest replacing all connections with wire ferrules. All the standard connections are cheaply tinned stranded wire. It's super easy and requires no soldering, just an extra purchase towards a few items.

If you decide not to, then at the very least check all wiring to your mobo because sometimes the clamps can become loose during shipping and that can cause a fried terminal block / fire. I'd like to think the risk is higher for refurbs.

I bought my Ender3v2 brand new and love it. My biggest gripe with it is the PSU. They didn't cut a vent for it so it has terrible airflow and is a big time hazard. I had to cut mine open to give it some air. Really don't understand why they chose to do that...

Got in on this the last time and it's great. Looked brand new to me. Upgraded from Monoprice Mini V2 and can't believe the difference in the prints ... and obviously much bigger build plate.

So new to all of this, which one should I get? I'd be printing things for cameras like battery holders, body caps, lens caps, etc.
