I really wanted to get this bench, but reading the critical reviews on this, it really turned me off. Biggest thing I found is you have to manual screw in the thing every time you want to change the angle of the bench. Thought it was just a pull/release sort of thing. Just read some guys bench broke while doing a military press too.

Ironmaster Superbench is far superior and only $150 more

With workout gear - spending a little extra goes a long way

thought about the Rogue as well but it was very expensive and im not a huge work out buff

I bought the curl attachment and the extra padded bench attachment that is wider and has more cushion

There was a sale i believe i paid $450-460 shipped for the bench and two attachments

Spent the rest of my cash on Sorinex dumbbells which i absolutely love - didnt buy the entire set just a few starter pairs

https://www.sorinex.com/collectio...-mass-bell

Best of luck i know work out gear has skyrocketed in price!

That is a cheap looking bench, and at just 600 lb capacity, it is cheaply built. If you want to go cheap, buy a Titan bench instead. Or spend a bit more and get a much better built bench.

I've been shocked at how good this one is, and just $20 more if you clip the coupon.

Those center mass bells look awesome, though I wouldn't want to get them for heavy work. Looks like they would work great for accessory exercises though.

You would be surprised how well they work for heavier weights

I have a set of 40 lb and a set of 60 lb center mass bells - they feel heavier than similarly weighted dumbbells but significantly reduce strain on your wrists

They also are great for bench press exercises.

There is another company that makes similar bells but the bottom of the bell is covered so dust and dirt can accumulate inside the bell making it difficult to clean, the Sorinex with the open bottoms are superior

With COVID inflation on work out items even if you dont like them you should get at least 90% back what you paid on the secondary market

Those aren't heavy weights. I do shoulder raises with 40's. I did see they only go up to 100 lbs, so they don't really get very heavy. Still would be concerned about getting my hands out if I needed to drop them for any reason. Same reason I don't like the Powerblocks for heavy work. Great for raises and such though.

Skip the Bowflex junk. For budget benches, look at Titan or Rep Fitness. Then when you get sick on hanging clothes on it, it'll have some resale value.

Agreed. $250 will buy a pretty decent commercial bench on the used market also.

Ok so I just bought this bench and put it together last night and I at first I thought the same thing in regards to manually screwing the thing for the angle of the bench and was initially disappointed until I realized that it does in fact have a pull/release. I can attest that it does in fact have this feature as I was messing around with it last night. Just for reference I bought the 5.1s from Best Buy. If you look at the Picture of the screw you will see a arrow indicating the direction of threading on and off but just below that is a small pic of the screw with an up arrow above it indicating to pull. Hope this clarifies for people that it does in fact have this feature.
