Metro by T-mobile - Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite tablet for current customer - $50 (+ $15 per month for unlimited data)

ONLY for the current MetroPCS customers: you are adding tablet line ($15 monthly) to any of your current metropcs plan (even my $30 plan was eligible).

No trade-in / No activation fee (at Corporate store): Total charge was $50 (device) + $15 (monthly service charge for unlimited data w/ SD streaming) + local tax (< $5 for me)

If billing cycle doesn't match (e.g., you are not getting this at 1st day of your monthly service), the prorated amount off of $15 monthly charge shows up as credit in your account, so that the total charge for next month will be your voice line + $15 - [prorated amount from $15].

It's prepaid service, so no commitment to keep paying for the service. I assume, simliar to unlocking policy with phone from metro, that this tablet would auto-unlock after 6 months (whether to have the active service or not).

P.S., $10 Spigen case from Amazon

It says "Get the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite for $49.99
Plus unlimited data for $15/month—when you add a line.
Limited time offer, while supplies last. In-store only. Excludes taxes. Req. tablet line added to Metro
smartphone line." I read that as 'Add a line, get a tablet.' Unlimited data for 15$/mo when you add the tablet line also. do if you don't want the data you just add one line.

"Req. tablet line added to Metro

P.S. terms also mention $20 activation fee per line and 2 lines max allowed for this deal.
I guess this is version that supports LTE connection otherwise it wouldn't make sense to get tablet line for it? It seems Samsung has two versions of A7 Lite, it would be nice if they named them differently to be less confusing.

I was thinking along the same lines - issue is there are no corporate stores around me and Metro stores are totally Ghetto and no one seems to know WTH they are doing.

Even Corporate stores are pretty bad.

Can this tablet make and receive calls? (not VOIP such TextNow or Google Voice. Looking for a real carrier calls.)

My mother uses SM-T295(Galaxy Tab A8 2019) as a smartphone because she prefers a large screen.
It is an old and slow tablet, but one of a few tablets that allow you to make and receive calls.
That has a connection issue and the micro USB charging slot is a worse and worse. Time to get a new one!

I was thinking to replace the SM-T295 with an iPad mini 6, but heard that even with the carrier version of the iPad, it cannot make and receive calls.
Can this tablet make and receive calls?
If not, any good tablets? My mother prefers 7~9i inch tablets.

I ended up opening an account and picking up the A32 5G and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite.

The store signed me up for device protection which I removed for next month. ...will have to chat to see if I can get a refund for this month.

Traded in a Visible R2 and ported in an old number I had sitting at Number Barn which surprisingly enough worked.

Samsung A32 - $0.00
Samsung A7 - $49.99 + $4.37tx
Activation $49.00

Total $103.36 OTD w/ $37 due on November 16th

Odd thing is I don't even seem to see the Tablet on my account when I log into metrobyt-mobile.com

I think, by 'Activation', you meant to say 'monthly service fee' Smilie

When logged onto your metropcs account, click the dropdown list to move from 'Your name' to 'Monthly Total' to see both you voice and tablet lines.

I switched to Metro yesterday and got the A7 for 49.99 and a Motorola one 5g Ace for free and it was around $118 first store said I had to get a 2 year contract so I tried another store (no corporate stores near me) and they laughed at that info and told me that the $25 a month unlimited was good for 2 years on the phone no contract (whch I knew was correct) and $15 month for tablet unlimited .. I needed a new phone anyways as I dropped my old phone in sink so I was happy with the deal
