About This Game:- Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of An Elusive Age Definitive Edition tells a captivating tale of a hunted hero and is the long-awaited role-playing game from series creator Yuji Horii and character designer Akira Toriyama. While it is the eleventh mainline entry in the critically acclaimed series, Dragon Quest XI S is a completely standalone experience that features entirely new characters, a beautifully detailed world, finely tuned turn-based combat, and an immersive story that will appeal to longtime fans and franchise newcomers alike. The Definitive Edition includes all the content from the original release of the acclaimed Dragon Quest XI, and adds extra character-specific scenarios, the choice of playing with the original soundtrack or a grand orchestral version of the music, the ability to switch between 2D and 3D graphic modes, a Japanese voice-acting option, and much more!

Most people in the internet report that it took them at about 120 hours, and some even play up to 200 depending on their luck with some quests.
And do saves carry over or would need to restart again?
If you have the regular version, it's a separate game. You'll have to start this one all over. It's a whole separate set of trophies, too. So, at least you're earning those along the way, again, and not just playing to get back to where you were on your original game. At least that's what made me feel better about starting it over.
All you're doing is strengthening my case. The longer it's been on there, the closer it is to being off there.
Look at the freaking description. What part of this makes you think it would be anything but the physical version?

Edit: ya know, maybe I'm thinkin of a different game. Maybe I was around 100 hours. It was a while ago.
Yeah I think I'm remembering Nier: Automata. I haven't platinumed much
Ahh yeah Nier Automata is a much shorter game in comparison. Cool, you got good tastes in games!

It's so long! But honestly it only gets better as it goes on. Ends at it's highest point.
I don't know why you guys think that it already being on there for a while is a defense. It's the exact opposite. If you had told me it has only been on there for a couple months, then you'd have a point.

The Definitive Edition was released on Switch first, and instead of recompiling XBone and PS4 versions the right way they just got lazy and ported the Switch version back. It's still the best, and possibly only, way to get all the content at once, but people who care more about graphics tend to be unhappy with the port.
