I'll be the first to ask - what's the difference between this and the TP-Link "AX-3600" that is also on sale (but $50 more than the X60)?

In short, the X60 is bigger and better than the M9.

The AX3600 is tri-band which is better/faster when using wireless backhaul. X60 is dual band but if you have a wired backhaul, it is fine. I would spend the extra $50 and get the AX3600 if you're going wireless backhaul.

M9 is tri-band and is wireless AC (previous gen but still fast) while this X60 is dual-band and wireless AX (newest gen but you will only fully utilize that tech if you have AX adapters). If you are going to go wired backhaul, get the X60. If going wireless backhaul, M9 is a better bang for your buck IMO.

If you have wired ethernet connecting all the remote points, then get x60. Otherwise, M9 plus shouldl be faster as it has a tri-band to transport traffic between point and main router.

I bought this last year for $229 from Costco. I highly highly recommend it. I was coming from an Apple AirPort Extreme Mesh setup.

You would be incorrect even being dual band with wireless this out performs the M9 in pure wireless speed. The M9 maxes out between 550-600Mbps over wireless in optimal situations while the X60 can hit between 750-800Mbps.

Triband primarily helps with stronger connections between the units and helps them fight interference in the area to provide a more stable connection, as well as helping with performance.

Is anyone concerned that this is a Chinese based company that might steal tech and sell it cheaper?
Lol no as just about every other component even in non Chinese brands still has Chinese components in it.

If anyone cares, these support "Access Point" mode. You can use your own router and use these purely as mesh wireless access points.
