"Welcome to Office Depot Marketing! We don't innovate when it comes to offers. We just rinse and repeat. And repeat. And repeat."

Good luck finding something to buy later with your rewards that is not horribly overpriced.
Rewards no longer roll as they used to many years ago for % back in rewards deals. Only for specific $$ back deals now.
Don't use rewards to purchase any % back in rewards deals. You will only earn rewards for any out-of-pocket you pay, after all discounts, coupons, rewards. The best trick is to price match something you will use for the rewards spending.

So how is $15 better than $0? Anti-slick.

Apparently, you don't know that they price match. Including Amazon, Walmart, other locals.
Worst case, you can buy stamps with rewards. Just do so on a sep purchase than anything earning rewards like this.
Batteries leak.
Cheaper at Costco.
Duracell sucks.
Over priced.
OD sucks.
Some other lame statement.

Ok now that is out of the way, let those of us who know how to make this deal work profit in peace.

The batteries are overpriced to begin with. Is it really worth paying for it at that price and then finding something to buy with the rewards?

Duracell are sh!t batteries. They all leaked and destroy your electronics. I have lost count on how many remotes/flashlights/toys I have thrown away due to these junk batteries. They are also made in China but "assembled in USA"

I Just keep using the initial 100% cash back to buy more batteries over and over again when the 100% cash back comes back around…

Updated with 25% off regularly priced items Coupon Code 46692910 for this category. This effectively lowers your out-of-pocket spending and taxes. Note: It will reduce your rewards payout. You only earn what you pay (less taxes). This makes it easier to liquidate rewards as you won't have to spend as much later to use them.

Note: what I do.... Real Slickdealers know to purchase the batteries, and when the rewards come in you purchase whatever household items you would have from Walmart, Target, best buy, etc. At office Depot and have office Depot "price match" the competition price, and use rewards to pay for it. ( Wash, rinse repeat, & save).

Bought these last time, about 30% have leaked.

What brand/type is everyone going to?

I use Eneloop or the IKEA rebranded Eneloops for things that take rechargeable, but remotes and some toys require the full 1.5v of alkaline.

I have used the rewards to get some RAM, chair mats, speakers. I also sent some to my fam overaeas. Some people have donated the batteries too. They are overprice indeed, but if you can find something not overpriced to use them rewards on it is a nice deal. Since taking advantage of OD battery offers, I have not seen any leaking when in use.

When was last time you purchased with cash back money and still get cash back? My experience is it won't roll and you only get cash back on out or pocket among.
