Interesting, mine was $15k points on a $500 celebrity cruise.
Yep, what I meant is that I have it on all 3 of my current Amex cards with basically $150 value off, either in cash or 15k MR points depending on the card I use it on.

Yeah which is why I'd use my MR card over my cash back one honestly. I don't have direct plans to go on a Celebrity ship next year so I won't have use for it, but still did it on my MR card anyway. Never know!

I was nervous since the initial charges displayed as RSVR which is what you want but then it changed the next day to LINEMIAMI, but it still credited. Please note in the past buying from funshops or gift cards did not work since those are not reservations.
I've never taken a cruise but I am in south Florida and was considering taking a last minute cruise to check it out. Any suggestions on which cruise line and is there a good site for booking last minute promos?
Other than the AMEX offer, are there advantages to book direct w/the cruise line vs some of the last minute sites? I do prefer booking directly w/airlines vs other sites.
