They're rubberized, but they're not Olympic bumper plates that you can just drop like at some gyms. The rubber helps prevent corrosion and feels nicer to pick up. I wouldn't recommend dropping them or they'll likely eventually crack the coating.

They had this weight set twice earlier this year, once in April and another in June. Previously, the promotion was $499.99, but using the Costco Citi to buy it would get you a $150 Costco gift card. I was able to combine it with a $50 off $500 (and had to buy a filler to push the total to at least $500).

The chrome clips flake, and I mean a lot. I thought I could just clean off enough of it and it would stop, but after two to three weeks of it flaking continuously, I ended up using some Flex seal spray to double coat them (coat it, let it dry, coat it once more). It's holding up for the most part. The flakes digging into your hands were hard to pull out.

Also there's a strong rubber smell on all of the plates. I recommend to use a paper towel and wipe them down and then leave it somewhere to air out, preferably in the garage if you have one. I tried letting it air out in my basement and the smell lingered for at least two weeks. I had to bring my air purifier down and let it run for a week before all of the strong smells were gone.

For ~$300 + filler + tax, it was delivered and likely a much nicer set than the Dunham's one mentioned. You might be able to hold out and see if they'll have that promo run again.

I really considered this rack for a while. However, I decided against it because it does not have west-side spacing (close hole spacing in the bench/squat spotter range) which helps if you solo-lift. West-side spacing isn't at all required, and some people may actually find it annoying since it becomes harder to index your heights, but I like the extra precise positioning for my style of lifting.

I decided on getting the following Titan T-3 (2x3) rack for $450:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/133785209569

Advantages Inspire:
Landmine
External Spotter Arms
Dip Bars
Better pullup bar

Advantages Titan T-3:
Westside spacing
Band pins
4 bar holders
$450 ($200 less)

T3 Is a great choice, just stinks because 2x3 accessories are far less popular than 3x3.

I have a T-2 copy (the BodySolid PPX 200) which is a 2x2 and although its fine for my lifting (I total <1300 at 181 bw) 3x3 11gauge steel is always so tempting, but of course the price vs utility isn't all there for me IMO

I own this rack. I purchased it when the start of the pandemic came about.
It has since been an EXCELLENT purchase. It is all well made and love the pull up bar. It forces me to hit all muscles as I do each grip variation as a set for back day.

I only wish that the barbell holder had a bit more rubber to cushion the bar. I added some black gorilla tape to cover any spots exposed for the bar to hit when racking. Otherwise, a great deal if it is available to you.

you can buy UHMW plastic and just cut to size If you need more protection. Conversely, there are j-hooks and sandwich j-hooks i'm sure you can find online.

In for 1 on the rack thanks to all the positive comments here. What's this 3x3 everyone's talking about and where can I learn more?

Which is interesting since reviews say it has landmine attachment.
The Barbell, plates, bands, and battle rope aren't part of the rack, just in the pictures showing people using them.
fernando.tafoyaCostco page says. "Weight Plates, Olympic Bar, Bands, Landmine and Battle Rope not included"
Yes, it is a bit confusing or misleading as the main photo shows those attachments and the reviews mention them even though the description states that they are not included. One note that is that Costco has the manufacturer supply the details and description on items like this and those items are frequently offered in bundles through Costco vs a direct purchase from the manufacturer so it is possible that those accessories are not normally included with the rack, but are via the Costco item. Can anyone who purchased this say if these accessories are definitely included or not?

Could somebody who's had a squat rack like this delivered in the past clue me in to what size delivery box I might expect? I don't have the room to set it up yet but am building a garage next Spring...

Weight set Includes:
2 x 45 LB Olympic Plates
2 x 35 LB Olympic Plates
2 x 25 LB Olympic Plates
2 x 10 LB Olympic Plates
4 x 5 LB Olympic Plates
2 x 2.5 LB Olympic Plates
7 Ft Olympic Bar
2 Spring Clips

So be aware that the 45lb barbell is included in that 300lbs total as standard for sets like this.
Wow, rubber! but too expensive. Glad I stocked up on 25 lb standard plates long ago. I find them easier to work with, without any interference to other muscle groups during my workouts. For those who lift heavy or aspire to, 45's could potentially be a huge problem if you're not really careful when moving them around.

I'd still buy the metal Olympic set for $100 but by the time they drop in price that much (if ever) I may be too old to fully make use of them! laugh out loud

Great deal. Thanks for posting everyone! Reps +++++.
