You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

This is the same promo as before, but the $100 has shifted from being discounted off the new device to being added to the trade value.

Example of buying an iPhone 13 Pro, trading iPhone 12 Pro
Previous promo:
New device - 900
Trade value - 800
Total - $100

New promo:
New device - 1000
Trade value - 900
Total - $100

It's a matter of semantics, but it may make a difference for you in terms of how your sales tax is calculated. In CA, for example, sales tax is calculated off the full price of the new item. In the case of a new promo, there would be about $7-9 more in sales tax. It's still a great deal if you want to keep current on your iPhone..

I had this same deal few weeks ago (I had a 128gb 12 pro max Best Buy paid for $975) I upgraded to the 256GB 13 Pro Max. I don't upgrade every year but this felt "needed". I was getting tired of the constant low storage warning on my phone(4k videos take a lot more storage than I thought) needed the slight bump in storage but also the PC enthusiast in me says 120hz woooooo! So yea. This is a great deal. Best Buy is awesome sometimes. And yea if you guys are wondering. 120hz is freakin awesome! And my battery life actually improved. Apple sprinkled some fairy dust this gen.
