You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Online to Store is the safest option. I am not gonna say how many I have done, but my experience has been super smooth. Nobody has asked me which carrier the phone belongs to. Have visited 4 different stores and the experience is very similar with different reps, male and female.

1. I am here to pick up my phone. You have a trade-in, Yes?
2. Give the DL and my cell#
4. Hand my trade-in
5. Keep it silent. I only say something when I need to remind them to not open the phone and to not activate it. It's for my brother and he is using it currently. Absolutely zero issues. Best Buy employees enjoy this when you come in prepared.
6. Out in about 10-15 minutes.

Finally allows done new line new number did not activate sim into iphone

Bestbuy only scan iphone was sealed input att sim unlock 3 min

Call tmobile said as long as it don't activate sim card or input in any phone account will not register and cancel automatically

Awesome no charge don't need tmobile to do this even better

This actually worked for me few days back at the same store but apparently they were getting many iPhone 12 minis as first question I was asked is which phone you will be trading in. He explained that many people are getting prepaid iPhone mini and trading which is why they started verifying. Only this store had the availability for iPhone 13 in my preferred color. I will try another store now. Thanks.

I have active att sim from other mobile. Can I use old or active att SIM card into the new mobile purchased from Best Buy? I'm checking is this process works for instant unlock process?
The att store near me denied issuing new att sim.

How will it work in case I port-in my number from other carrier to t mobile? Can I still unlock using att prepaid sim and the start using t mobile ported sim in new device? Can I unlock the device and cancel t mobile service in one month?

FYI

I finally received 12 min today 12/6 from Walmart. I ordered my 13 pro with trade-in on 12/2 through my wife's and received the pickup notice on 12/5 earlier than approx date 12/17.

Online order is the way to go although you might need to wait for your phone availability. The rep took my ID and 12 mini and no question asked. He finshed filling out my personal info and gave me the box and receipt.

**TMO account owner doesn't need to be there if the online order is placed by another person.

I hope att unlock trick works well with my new prepaid sim.

Yes, you're not too late, however, tradein value went down anout 5-6 % depends on device
