I was looking at the X90J, but the difference of $850 makes it harder for me to justify the X90J for a bonus room, even with the difference in screen size.

Realized the Vizio only has 2.0 HDMI port Frown

I believe Rtings is mistaken about the 2.0 HDMI ports. According to Vizio on their website ( https://www.vizio.com/en/tv/m-series/M70Q7-J03 ) the J03 (this TV and the TV reviewed on Rtings) has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports. From what I can tell, this is actually a really good deal on a midrange 70" TV, certainly better than most other non OLED options in its price and size range. Better than the A6G, and not quite as good as the A7G; but also a good deal cheaper than even the 65" in that model.

This set has HDMI 2.1 "features" i.e. VRR, ALLM, eARC, but as stated in the Rtings review, it is unable to achieve HDMI 2.1 bandwidth (4k@120Hz) because it has a native 60Hz panel.

FWIW, my local Costco had this TV for $699.99 with no * (aka they weren't just trying to sell the last few units)

EDIT: I was mistaken, it was the 65" model, which BB has at the same price. Still an intriguing value buy IMO. I recently purchased a 75" Vizio P75QX-H1 that I am not at all impressed with for the price. May return and give this one a try. Especially since BB has return through the holidays now.

Per rtings reviews, it does not upscale lower resolution content that good. If you watch lot of old tv shows, this is something to keep in mind

Most likely a typo-the TV cannot have all 4 HDMI inputs as 2.1 on a 60 Hz panel for under $1000. In any case, 2.1 is pointless at 60 Hz..
