Costco T-Mobile generally gives back tradein value back in visa/master gift card after a month or two. So it is easy for people who want pay upfront rather than waiting for credits over 2 years.

When's the last day for this deal?

Wondering if I should wait for a potential Costco deal or just jump on this one now.

Correct, although if you trade that specific phone in to Tmobile I believe you do lose the credits?
Spoke to 2 separate agents this morning, and both stated that even if the EIP is paid off in full, if the specific device (for which monthly credit is being received) is traded in, the credit would automatically stop. I asked what if the device is traded under a number on the account that is different from the one that was used to get the initial credit, and the agent responded saying that it does not matter and that the credits would still automatically stop since the system would catch it as a device for which credits are currently being paid out. The fact that the EIP was paid off in full does not matter in such a scenario.

Does anyone have first-hand experience contrary to what the agents say?

This is my fear. I order and then Costco decides to put a better deal

I would say yes, BUT call customer service during normal hours (you want to talk to someone in the USA).

I was able to pay off my S20 FE and they placed the monthly credits to my account from the line and instead of trading in that phone I have a OnePlus 6 (the back of is all cracked up) and they gave me $300 for this phone and I will sell my S20 FE on Fleabay for like $375.00ish.
I have one plus 6T with cracked back. Are you saying one can trade it in and get $300? I thought cracks now allowed for trade in, though not sure crack in the back counts

This would be the case. I tried to pay $100 off my gf's iphone SE2 early to get her unlocked. But I ended up losing the credit for that. When it's bill credits for 24 months. THEY mean it.

But don't they force you to add a new line?
No, actually most TMobile promotions that require a new line wont at Costco.

That's not true. I paid off EIP off early & traded an iPhone 11 in early this year. The credit goes up to account & I got it until last month. You can read up on here & reddit. The consensus is what happened to me. However it's your $ so only you can decide what to do

"If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months)."

Not sure if this will be helpful information...I am Sprint customer with a Sprint LG G8 and was super disappointed by the garbage phones TMo was offering to replace my G8 with. Literally saw the Pixel 6 today for the first time and chatted with Sprint. Sprint offered:

Pixel 6 - A $300 trade-in value for the G8, 24 months of $25 bill credits, $0 per month, and $0 down payment, I get the phone for free; or

Pixel 6 Pro - Also a $300 trade-in value for the G8, but $149 down, $6.25 per month for 24 months, or I pay $300 for the Pixel 6 Pro.

Now I am just trying to figure out if $300 is it worth it to me for the Pro. My last three Sprint phones were all purchased near Thanksgiving Day for $0.01 (LG G3), $10 (LG G5), and $60 (LG G8), so I am definitely not in the habit of spending hundreds of dollars for phones.

Im thinking I going with the Pixel 6. I hopefully wont notice the resolution change (1440 for the G8) which, I think, all I am really worried about...even if I dont game nor am I into photography.

Looks like T-Mobile stores will be forced to accept online trade ins.

Thanks for the data point. Would I be right in assuming that the iPhone 11 device that you traded in was the same one that you were receiving credits for?

It was my understanding too based on what I had read earlier that there should be no impact to the credit even if the device that was being traded in was the same on that credits were being received for, however, but was concerned because both agents that I spoke to unequivocally stated what I shared.

If I do the add a line promo to get the pixel 6 discount can I cancel the first line so that I am only paying for one line?
