This or a used Amiron home? Anyone tried both? I have an ifi black label and listen to edm and rock
I have tried both. Have you ever tried another Beyer? If so, the Amiron is a liitle more chill but still has some treble peaks that got to me. The HD660s are basically a more refined and open HD650 with better soundstage and imaging. I sold the Amirons and returned the HD660s. The 660s were not different enough from my HD58x's to justify the expense. I would say these are more like $250 headphones so if you can get the deal you are close. I am not a fan of the Amirons though. Still a little too hot for me. I found myself physically cringing with some songs which should not happen.
I would wait for the upcoming Hifiman Edition XS to come out. I really think that may be the next Sundara, or just get the Sundara. As for Senns, the HD6XX and HD58X are still the two value winners by far.

Thanks. I have a pair of HEKv2s, and just looking for something cheaper to compliment them. It would be the LCD-XC '21 if they weren't so dang heavy. The search continues...
Wow, this is an awesome deal! I have id.me, but when I was looking at these a couple of months ago, they weren't eligible. Wish I got this deal!
These headphones sound great and are very comfortable. They won't feel like normal noise cancelling headphones if you are used to those (since they are open-back), but they allow you listen to great music and at the same time let your ears breath a bit.
however.... if I want to spend $300 to $400 on a pair of CLOSED headphones, what are my options?
no, I do not want anything that has noise-cancellation(i.e. Bose, Sony, Apple, etc)... only interested in good sound, but in a CLOSED configuration. I have a decent headphone amp.

The Focal Elegia is a great set that I believe is still on sale at Adorama for $399.
I bought these and they will be delivered tomorrow. I can't comment on the headphones yet, but the price was right. I've been watching for them since I missed picking them up last year @ $275 + tax. I am a Sennheiser fan and do have several pairs including some 600 ohm beasts, so I do have some idea of what I am getting into.
I wasn't interested in the TIDAL offer, but today decided to give it a try using the code sent to me on my receipt. It took me some effort to figure out how to redeem it, but using this link: https://offer.tidal.com/voucher?lang=en
the offer was for 12 months of TIDAL HiFi from the date I purchased the headphones, no credit card needed, even though the receipt indicated 6 months. I'm very impressed with TIDAL and may have a hard time giving it up in a year. Before today have not used a subscription music service other than what is included with Amazon Prime.
As long as the headphones arrive in good condition I just want to give a big Thumbs Up and Thank You for posting this deal!

If you don't want to get a whole DAC/Amps setup, a Google [google.com] or Apple [apple.com] USB-C to 3.5mm adapter (with a USB-C to USB-A adapter [amazon.com] if needed) will suffice for most and will give you a great experience!
