GameStop's new promo for Pro Members is they are matching the cash value of the Switch trade-in with the store credit. So you will get either $220 cash or $220 in store credit. Normal the cash value is less.

If you just want to sell your Switch and use the money else where to buy an OLED or whatever, this is not a bad option. It's easier than selling on Ebay, Craiglist etc.

I just got my white oled switch delivered today and the screen is quite nice compared to my v1 but I am going to keep my v1 just because it can be hacked

Is it a huge deal breaker? I am on the fence about upgrading my V2.

If you have a v2 it is up to you whether or not worth it and if you can get an oled version. There are some definite upgrades, oled screen, kickstand, built in amount of memory. I am keeping my v1 just because it can be hacked and the value of those will only go up, not sure if the v2 can be hacked or not

Is the OLED switch worth it for a first time switch buyer?

I will use the handheld pretty often when travelling

Yes, but instead of selling them they plan on hodling them until they expire worthless.

I have a v1 not hacked (pretty much have been hacking / rooting systems since Sega Dreamcast). What's the benefits of hacking the switch. I'm sure it wouldn't emulate newer systems very well (especially compared to the upcoming Steam Deck). Are you able to run Switch rips or no
Dude, hacking the V1 is an incredible experience. Tinfoil gives you access to all the switch titles you'd ever want. You can also install retroarch and play all those other systems, up to a point though (some
n64 I believe, maybe some PS1 too). Gbatemp has some great info

Thanks I didn't realize that site was still around. Last time I looked into hacking Switch it was only feasible for some home brew stuff at the time

While $220 cash is a "low-ball"offer, the only advantage is that it ready to redeem. Time versus max dollars possible
not even sure it's a low-ball... i'm seeing good condition switches on ebay for around $260. fees would be around $30 and then at least $10 for shipping depending on location and you're already even with the GameStop offer.

I have several switches that still have 2.x firmware on them, they were purchased before the fusee glitch was released so they are all hackable. They've been sitting in the closet since I got them, should I just trade them for $220 each?
