GameStop's new promo for Pro Members is they are matching the cash value of the Switch trade-in with the store credit. So you will get either $220 cash or $220 in store credit. Normal the cash value is less.
If you just want to sell your Switch and use the money else where to buy an OLED or whatever, this is not a bad option. It's easier than selling on Ebay, Craiglist etc.

I am so sick of eBay and it's anti-seller policies nowadays! This is the 2nd time I've been stiffed with a non-paying auction winner for my old Switch in two weeks and I am over it. After the near 15% (or more considering eBay actually charges fees on shipping AND the state sales tax they collect from your buyer!!) I am freaking over it and will be going to collect my $220 at GameStop tomorrow. That is probably more than what I am left with after urlhasbeenblocked all of their cuts and a hell of a lot less hassle!
I traded in my old PS4 slim 500GB for $240 credit at Gamestop last weekend. I thought it was a good deal because I only paid $199 for it (and a free game). I am not sure if I should use the credit for a new PS5 (myself) or a new Switch (my kid)
Trust me, as a dad, the Switch will be for both of you. My boys and me play a lot on it together, and the Switch has a killer lineup. I have a PS5 too, but if I had to choose, it would be the Switch. Nintendo just makes too many great games.
I can't speak for you but to me $150 (with tax for the new console) is not worth the somewhat minor upgrade and hassle changing systems.
I feel like most people with these opinions haven't used the Switch OLED. I have one that upgraded from my V1 Switch and the screen is a significant improvement. It's really that much better. Even the size is way better. The console it self just feels way nicer and sturdier quality. If you play handheld a lot it is definitely worth it.
Dude, hacking the V1 is an incredible experience. Tinfoil gives you access to all the switch titles you'd ever want. You can also install retroarch and play all those other systems, up to a point though (some
n64 I believe, maybe some PS1 too). Gbatemp has some great info
Totally agree, ever since I exploited my Switch I just use it to play old Gameboy and DS games.
