Oh man, loved Silver Bullet as a kid in the late 80s/early 90s.
While this may be true the problem is buying non MA titles means you have to either stick to one service only or have your movie library spread across multiple services. I would rather be able to log into whatever service I choose and see my entire library. Unfortunately, back in the early days of digital copies, I redeemed many of mine via VUDU, so VUDU has my most complete library. They are also the only service I am aware of that has Disc to Digital. Which I used to add many titles to VUDU. For this reason I generally only by MA titles, so I know I can watch them anywhere and if I just want to browse my collection I must use VUDU.
For you and some others it may make sense to have Apply as the primary source, but the problem still exists that you don't want to by movies from other sources, unless they are MA.
FYI - Does not port to MA. $2.50 per movie is a good deal.

damn, that's right, these are all paramount. maybe someday they'll join MA. for now, that's a good reminder for anyone not paying attention. appletv/itunes only on this deal, no MA porting currently.

Do you not have the Apple TV app anywhere? You don't need MA if you have that. Apple TV has the highest bit rate.

I am same as you, I kinda invested in Vudu and unless it's Vudu-Only non-ma, I don't really go for digital deals, I do have a few others scattered apple, MS, google etc but they eventually become lost or forgotten..
