Costco pretty much let's you return anything. I've seen and heard of people returning things like half eaten pies and dead Christmas trees

Forever, no, but they usually add a year manufacturers warranty, and if you have the Costco credit card it usually adds 2 years on as well.

Also, since this comes with a 3yr warranty, Costco will usually honor it for that whole time while another store or Sandisk themselves might give you the 2-3 month runaround to actually get it replaced
