This is Black Friday guaranteed price. So it might not go below this price in this season. We have seen this price a couple of times in last one year.

Reviews please, I tried roborock s5 max and S6 pure. I want to know how good is this when compare to those
Object avoidance, that's all there is to it when looking for a vaccum bot. Everything else is secondary.

A working and effective object avoidance, without exposing your bedroom to the internet via built-in camera, there aren't really any other choices beside this model. I buy two of this for a price of a high end Roomba with equivalent features and total durability any day.

Despite good quality and overall features, Roborock is no match and still lost in their marketing research to find out what consumer really need, lol.

I bought this. Had a special 10% off 1 item on my BB credit card so that was nice.
I did have a problem connecting it to Wi-Fi : it doesn't like mesh networks and I had to turn off the 5ghz band in the Eero (google it, it's easy to do).
Am now going through its first mapping of my first floor.
Best thing so far? It fits under our couch!! I shudder to think what it's like under there before today!

Got this one last year. It really helps for me. This may not for you, clean freak. It cleans better than S5, has nice app, easy to program. It does its job as long you allow it to do, which means, move things that can tangle the robot, empty the canister, cut those hair, and replace the brush.
We had it setup every evening 2-3 hours before we go to bed.

I've been using this bot without the mopping plate, and so far it has been OK. But today, it decided that it didn't feel like completing its scheduled task. It normally takes around 15 minutes to clean the brown area of this map; today it did a lap around the walls and called it a day. No errors or obstructions, just... felt like being lazy, I guess.

Today the robot is "offline" and did not run its scheduled task at all. This has not been a very good experience so far.

I'm considering getting the Ozmo Pro mop accessory since that's supposed to be significantly better (and louder), and you can find it for around $35 on AliExpress (as opposed to $100 in most retailers).
How are they able to sell it so cheap?
I have no experience with AliExpress. Would appreciate your opinion and info.

I suspect the prices there are closer to actual cost than the inflated prices charged internationally. There are also some products on that marketplace that are... replicas, to put it politely.

For example, in the US, 8 waste bags go for around $20. On Ali, you can find 20 for $25. They may not be genuine parts, but they'll probably work.

My guess is that the inexpensive ozmo pro is either a 99% functional replica, or just the original part at the local market price. If I'm wrong, someone will surely correct me.

Just to note this Ecovacs T8+ will work in the dark as it uses LiDAR.

The only cheaper auto empty bin system is from shark (when it's on sale) but it uses VSLAM (plus floor tracker in new models) so it does not work in the dark.

Personally I would only use a robot vacuum at night so might matter to others.

This robot is good at avoiding most objects, but apparently cat vomit is not one of them. In addition to painting your floors with puke, this will also prevent it from detecting when it is back on the charging station, causing it to back up, wander the room, and then attempt to charge again forever until you manually stop it.

I now understand why the major selling point for the current generation Roomba is pet waste avoidance.

Today the app decided to move all of the the virtual boundaries on the floor map about five feet to the right. When I try to correct their placement, the app tells me no to put boundaries near the charging station. The charging station is in a different room.

It appears to be in-stock at $450 again. I just bought another one for my finished basement area. I have two of them already that I bought last year around this time when they were on sale, one for my first main floor and one for my upstairs.

The software is the worst part about this thing as some people mention. Dividing rooms is my biggest complaint by far. It used to randomly lose my floor plan map and thus all my rooms and exclusion zones but that hasn't happened in a long time thankfully.

I will say that this thing might have 3D avoidance but it won't avoid a pile of dog shit. One of our dogs broke through the barrier to our upstairs and left a pile of turds in one of the rooms and this thing kept on truckin' right through it one afternoon. 0/10 would not recommend.

Overall, I am very happy with both of my Deebot T8+. I had a Roomba 980 before this and I hated that thing. It would get randomly stuck on nothing and it didn't have a self emptying feature which is a must have for me. The lidar on this makes it seem more efficient at how it divides and conquers vacuuming each room.

I will say that your best bet is buying third party brushes, bags, accessories, etc. from someone like Ali Express or similar as the Ecovacs branded official ones are insanely overpriced, especially for the bags that go into the auto-emptying base station since they need replaced about once a month.
