Bought this last time it was around this price and have been a huge fan. In for another.

My current T8+ runs every morning to clean LVP flooring. It has cleaned 151276 sq ft, done 422 cleanings, and has run for 412 hours with very few issues.

The mopping features isn't great though, so recently I purchased the ozmo upgraded mopping attachment and I've been happy with its performance.

Should I return and take this one?

General consensus from what I've seen is the roborock mop is still miles better even with the upgraded attachment you can purchase for the t8. The lifting function is amazing and the t8 cannot mop while vacuuming since it cannot lift its mop (will need to do two separate sessions). If you don't care about the mop I think the roborock is still a better vacuum but you're saving almost 300 dollars over the roborock 7+

After 2 years of occasional use, my ecovac DEEBOT 900 has developed a intermittent lidar failure and the main brush gearbox just stripped out this week. Parts are hard to find and come from China as pre-owned. They have also been making a lot of changes to the software that keep wiping out my map and no go lines OR the map becomes off centered to where the no go lines are not where they are suppose to be. It's been frustrating. The only thing this has going for it and it's sister company roborock is that it maps on the fly.

My Neato D7 is still going strong even with its glitchy software.

T8+ is better: bigger battery, vibratey mop add on can be installed. Otherwise seems the same.

Our T8 + just got returned(thank you Costco) last week after a year of use due to a recurring Main brush error after 9 month. I suspect cat hair or dirt gets in the brush gear box and trips the sensor. We love it, but I wouldn't recommend it. I suspect there is a design issue and due to the lidar and camera assembly access to motor gears was not very feasible.

I have both, I didn't take S7 through its paces yet but so far I like it better. What I hate about Ecovacs is little but important bugs in their software that they refuse to address (tickets opened and closed). Example you can't divide a large area more than once. Let's say they classified living room, dining room and kitchen as one large room. You only have an ability to split this larger chunk into two areas. The worst offense here is that they don't acknowledge that there's an issue

This is annoying, I tend to draw the area I want it to clean as best I can and if I need it to go somewhere else after I wait until it's done and then send it there.

I'm not impressed with it on hardwood floors and the mopping is useless for me. It just doesn't work great sometimes you see where it went but most times you don't. On hardwood it tends throw a bunch of dirt around, it still picks some up but also throws some but I imagine it's generally an issue with others. My biggest gripe isn't even the crappy mopping or mapping. It cannot clean around my area rugs or door mats at all. I end up with more mess there than before it started.

I got one of these last year, and I'm generally happy with it. However, it's best used for light mopping duties on the linoleum floors of my kitchen/dining room. It works fine for vacuuming carpet as well, but requires taking off the mopping attachment and moving the Deebot between floors always screws up the maps, so I only use it in other parts of the house occasionally.

I have messy eaters, so that kitchen/dining room functionality alone is worth the money for me. YMMV.

Costco is Aivi model i believe which uses camera not lidar. Aivi might have privacy issues. Also that appears to have issues in dark. I had this model for more than a year and this is perfect vacuum. Just that mopping feature is useless unless you opt for separate mopping attachment.
