Picked up from bestbuy. Its usable tripod, may be not for heavy dslr but small dslr will work for sure. Came with Mobile and gopro attachment which is bonus, for 10 bucks its good deal. Not sure what others expect here from 10 dollar tripod.

Got this last year... 2 to me exact. It can hold my flash for shoots while traveling light as possible. I wouldn't put anything that has any bit of weight on it..... Also the leg locking mechanism break easily. I might of used these 2 times and both are already broken.

But for the price it got the job done before having the trash them.

Now days there's lots of them - these are notoriously unstable and extremely flimsy, especially the low end ones like this. The problem of course is the value of what you're putting on top of it! Part of any recommendation would be knowing what you're using it for - are you using it to pan video? The type of head you attach to the tripod legs might differ if you want something that pans well... and how often you use it. I bought one of these to put a small camera on it for video (no panning) - but it was so unstable and wobbly I knew it would be destroyed in to time.

There are lots of cheap tripods out there now days (thank china) - that although are mediocre, they're still much more stable than this one... I just looked on SD for recent deals, there usually are some but not seeing much - I'm wondering how much the supply chain problems are limiting good deals at the moment. So maybe the pricing is different than last time I looked a few years ago when deals were popping up like crazy on SD... maybe you could go somewhere to look where you could find a cheaper one that is more stable. I linked one below - but it might not be what you want if you're using it for video and want a panning head... these type tend to be much more stable and sturdy - I'm not necessarily recommending this exact one, just this type. Also consider buying used - people buy half way decent ones all the time and don't use them much then sell them... anyway, sorry for the long response!

I have one of these, not exact manufacturer but looks identical. I miss the pan arm for video of my kids sporting events. Was about to pick up the bestbuy one before reading everyone's feedback.

I use my $20 ubeesize for kids sports also and the pan arm is an absolute must. But I can definitely tell the difference between a $50 tripod and < $20. For the latter, there are other compromises like flimsy extendable legs but I only use my phone on it so no issues. Depends on needs. Cheap tripods may have other issues like a jittery pan.

does it fall over easily.
I had one from Amazon. Yes, they're cheap as all Hell. You can only use them indoors as the wind will blow the hell away out of this tripod piece of plastic crap. If it happens to tip over and/or fall, your camera could get easily damaged or scratch. You should spend extra for something more sturdy beforehand.

I was hesitant about purchasing the tripod because of reviews stating this tripod has flimsy plastic and occasionally breaks. However, I was browsing bestbuy and noticed they also have a cell phone mount with a 1/4" mounting hole that should be compatible with this tri pod. This set up should be plenty fine for light phones, so I bit and purchased both.

These are available at half the price on Amazon and likely even cheaper on eBay.

Doesn't hold steady, but still worth it? That's the entire point of a tripod! But I guess if one has no expectations, one can't be disappointed.

Wouldn't trust anything of value on top of it. It's not just the wind either. If someone walks by and brushes a leg a flimsy tripod will come crashing down. Doesn't have any mass to resist a knock.
Don't know what I'd be comfortable putting on a $10 tripod. Nothing I can think of, not even my "cheap" $40 Halloween projector.

A tripod is not something you want to cheap out on. The first time your EQE falls to the ground you'll figure it out.
