Awesome price for OLED (I have the C9 and love mine). For anyone wondering about the difference between the upcoming C1 deal and this A1 series, RTINGS wrote:

The LG A1 OLED and the LG C1 OLED deliver very similar picture quality but differ in the extra features available. The C1 is a better gaming TV, with 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, support for variable refresh rate technology (VRR), and a 120Hz refresh rate. For movie lovers, the C1 is also a slightly better choice, as it can remove judder from any source, and it has an optional Black Frame Insertion feature to help reduce persistence blur.

If you're buying an LG OLED, do yourself a favor, get a C series or better. A series shouldn't even exist. That's like putting a 4 cylinder in a Dodge Ram 3500

I can't really speak for the a's, but I have a b8 that I think looks as good as my cx.

Agreed, really it depends on your use case. The only difference between the 'a' and the 'c' is the processor which, according to rtings, makes very little difference, especially if you are not using the native LG app and use this as just a monitor for your xbox or pc.

Went through Best Buy to get a C1 that came with a set of wireless earbuds. Eragorn quoted ratings and for the 120hz and 4 HDMI 2.1 ports it's probably worth the extra money to get a C1 (especially if you're running a Series X or PS5 through it). Just personal opinion - I was blown away by how much better the OLED was over my Vizio M65.

I saw this TV at Costco recently and it was close to the doors with daylight streaming in and a ceiling full of additional lights and skylights over head at midday and the rumors of bright room reflection/viewing issues with this or the Sony A08 are greatly exaggerated.

From no angle was their an issue so unless you're actually outside, this TV is fine.

How bright do y'all need a TV to be? This is bright enough. I have the CX and I have to turn it down lol.

Agree. Even then I bet outside is not as bad as they make it sound. But who has OLED outdoors? Now I know some might say they'd like the idea of taking it camping but bro, that's not what camping is about. I also don't camp. I prefer not to have ticks all over me.

I brought two 65"A1's and these are pretty good. OLEDs. People brand them as cheap OLEDs but they are not. Just a 15-20% difference in price doesn't mean it's cheap. The little & minute differences in features reflect the lower price point. Who needs the extra brightness that would damage your eyes. This is faring better in dark and bright rooms. 60hz is far good for gaming with my Xbox, for movies and music I would tune into. I'm in love with it.

100% not true, the A1s only do 60hz not 120hz or VRR and are missing other key visual features.

Fine for movie/TV watching, but if you ever want to hook up a PS5 or Series X to your TV, do not buy an A1 pay the little bit more and buy the C1 or G1. Even if you never go to 120hz (and there honestly isn't much reason to, unless you are hooking up to a PC) the HDR peak brightness of an A1 is lower than a C1.

On Nov. 25, the LG A1 55" TV is going on sale for $1099.99 with $110 Costco shop card, and $100 streaming credit with the extended warranty. Online customer support said that they would do a price adjustment once the promotion started.
