Depends on your needs, I have the 305, it gets extremely hot. If I had found the dual temperature one first it would probably be the only one I bought. Now I will have all 3.

In May it got this at HD for $20. Figures I just opened it up and used it last week and threw out all the plastic shell packaging. :mad

This one is small and light, great for crafts. Hi temp only so any heat sensitive things might be a problem but you could just try turning it off and letting it cool a bit.

I'd say it depends on your intentions. I have the original larger model for workshop type tasks when you need a lot of glue in a hurry. I later bought the little guy for my wife who uses it for crafting and small repairs. Think of your use case and that will lead you to know which to get.

Or just catch chartreuse fever like the rest of us and buy both!

It is actually good for woodworking as well. If you are putting on crown molding on cabinets, normally the outside corners will come apart in time. If you put a wooden dowel along with hot glue it will hold the corner together much better than wood glue alone.
