Original bristles are little stiff for my liking, any recommendation for soft bristles?

The Costco sales are always on 2-packs but I only need one as a single dude.

Any product recommendations preferably within the $100 price range? I currently have the old basic Sonicare but it's the one where black gunk always builds up under the replaceable head reservoir (no matter how often I clean it) and it grosses me out. I want to invest in a newer one but between Sonicare and Oral B it seems there are so many options nowadays.

I have two of these and switch between them every week. Have had them for 5+ years. They work perfectly. The generic replacement brushes on Amazon are every bit as good as the overpriced Braun OEM ones for a fraction of the price.

Great timing my 5 year old 1000 is just starting to feel a little less powerful. The old one is still usable, but for this price I am fully satisfied with 5 years of use. The replacement heads is where they get you. Replacements cost nearly as much as this whole combo.

I recommend trying this, imo my teeth feel noticeably cleaner than manual brushing.

imho, the counter rotating brush heads work much better than Sonicare's vibrating brush heads. More bristle tip movement = more cleaning. And especially more likely to get in and clean between the teeth & gums...which seems to help prevent, reduce and/or eliminate the "deep pockets" problem.

My dentist recommended normal shaped brush heads over circular, not sure why.

Great toothbrush and I'll keep an eye out for that deal.

Look on Amazon for cheap heads. I think I picked them up for $1 each in 5 packs.

They will last a month brushing twice a day which is about when you should swap them anyways.
