Set up PayPal so you can pay with QR codes. Link your Chase freedom flex as the payment method.

CVS is one of the few places that take PayPal QR codes as payment. It's been recommended to use self checkout, if possible. Once you add the gift card, DO NOT click any payment method on the self checkout terminal. Instead, scan your PayPal QR code like you are buying something. Then it will allow you to checkout and pay with PayPal.

If it does indeed stack with the 2% back at drug stores as the other thread suggests, that's 11% back on up to $1500.

Too many of these useless credit offers on pages like this. Banks don't need any help robbing people with huge profits from bloated interest rates.

Just simply being careful and selective on which new card you want to apply so you don't go over 4 new cards, 5th one being the new Chase card you want to apply, in a two year period.

Up to $75x4 every year. Chase offers. Mastercard promotions. Sometimes free membership offers. Amazon points offers multiple times a year. Yes, this card is worth applying for compared to all others that only offer large initial cashback bonus and why keeping freedom is worth it instead of a straight product change.

If a person is to sign up for one, the initial $200 cashback plus up to $300 from 5% calendar, he will have max $500 cashback in that first year. Think about how many cards offer that kind of bonus without annual fees.

I could have but didn't want to open another CC; I locked my credit 2 months ago but am too lazy to unlock it. I have too many CCs and use different CCs for different categories to maximize cashback. I'm not losing anything by switching, I just want to be able to use this either for dining or grocery so I hopefully will get the 5% cashback on those categories all year long

Well i already spent 1500 with paypal buying from ebay with it and walmart.com and inside walmart. So now i have to spend 1500 again but either on gas or whatever one i want. I most likely will do drugstores as i will have meds to pay for this month coming up for around $150 and that will get me started towards 1500 which i guess ill get gift cards from walgreens.

Chase is making Q4 like Citi's Custom Cash card.
Whichever is the top spend for all 3 months gets the 5%.

You can usually make a product switch. So it's possible you can switch your freedom to flex and it doesn't hit your credit. Call chase

I must be missing something. The biggest visa card I see at Walgreens is $100. with a 5.95 fee. The fees would eat up the 9%

I think I get this deal, but one thing I am not 100% sure about, does the top spending category apply ONLY to the freedom flex card, or is it accross ALL of your spending for every chase card on your account? I have 5 chase cards, so my top spending category is very different depending on which one is the case.
