How does this compare with the $299 LG cordzero A9 at Costco right now for a house that's mostly hardwood ? The LG at least wouldn't have as much of a battery issue I guess. Is the extra suction worth it or is there something else to consider ?

I have owned two different Dyson battery style vacs. My wife bought an alternative brand so she didn't have to lug the vac from upstairs to downstairs and vice versa. Let me tell ya, that there is absolutely no comparison. Dysons are a BEAST of a vac! I don't think that I would own another kind from now on. Yeah, they a bit pricey, but they are excellent. Something to consider, or I have wondered is how and the heck are people who don't own air compressors cleaning their Dysons? I mean the amount of funk that develops inside the vacuum is incredible! I blast mine out with an air compressor about once a month and let me tell ya, the amount of nastiness that comes out of there is remarkable!

the nice thing about buying it from costco is the lifetime satisfaction guarantee. if the battery dies or the device don't work, just return it and get a new one or get a refund.

You can buy it off Amazon for ~$100+. If you are dead set on having the soft roller head, I would recommend buying the V10 Absolute from Newegg (direct from Dyson) for $450, which includes all the same attachments as well as the soft roller head.

Maybe there is a way of buying it second hand for cheaper, but I was looking into this too when I was deciding.

Thank you so much for the Information. I was looking at the "Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute (Black)" on dyson.com for $499 but it's only $50 off which I thought it's a meh deal. $450 on the same bundle sounds like a better deal.
