Seriously, people abuse costco policy like this is why we cant never have nice thing. You return a 4 years old electronics, how desperate are you?. Stay out of my beloved costco please.

Go with the Asus. I've tried both and got much better coverage from the Zen.

On another note, apparently Netgear makes you pay for tech support after 90 days to actually use your warranty. That was a no go for me.

I'm actually about to switch out my Eero 6 (3 routers) for this Orbi. My Eero experience has been really unreliable, with every other update causing devices to drop, homekit issues and lack of transparency into settings. I thought it would be a great plug n play solution and when it works it's great but I have no insight into most settings. I used to have the Orbi RBR50 and that worked great (until one day they just wouldn't power on anymore. Thank goodness for Costco return policy, especially since Netgear support SUCKS). Going back to Orbi despite that fact and that their app sucks, but at least I can tweak everything.

Have had this for over a year and just received another update. Never had to unplug and no issues with any signal strength for any of my devices. My MacBook Air m1 and iPhone 12 seem to use the Wi-Fi 6 easily and all my other old devices work to their highest bandwidths. I would buy this again as I paid $429

Can we use ethernet cable to extend the location of 1 of this Orbi units? I am planning to use 2 units on the front house and 1 unit at the back house. There is an ethernet cable connection from front house to back house about 100 feet long.

I ended up returning these and getting the Asus xt8's. Even though these are a amazing deal i had aot of problems with the firmware. Random connection drops. Looked further into this and apparently its wide spread and has been a issue for months. So have fun with updating it. Also didnt like the app or browser to use these. Limited in some of the features that are built into the xt8's. The orbi armor security is a joke. I ended up disabling mine. It blocks alot of sites and whitelisting the URL didnt work right.

I had these, and previously had the rbr50 series. The wifi 6 model died within 2 months. I get it, electronics can go at anytime. Customer service was a PITA. Also, no separate 2.4 & 5ghz networks. Range is great with this though. I'm now using Asus Ai Mesh system and don't really have any issues.

I don't think there's a restriction on Black Friday prices, but it doesn't really matter... it's Costco, worst case, just buy it again and return it on the old receipt if you have to.

Just received mine, easy to setup. I don't recommend this one if your connection is less than 500 or your home is less than 2000 sq ft. There are cheaper options.

I've had my RBK50 for the past 4 years and it's been great for the first 3 years. For whatever reason, there was one firmware patch and it broke my Orbi earlier this year. The firmware caused very low (less than 1 hour) DHCP lease time being assigned and my internet would drop for a few seconds whenever it tries to renew the lease. This results in hourly connection drop and nothing I did could fix it. I looked up on google and this seems to be a common problem for only Orbi routers.

I have this. The Armor security is nonsense and limited in options. Lots of false alerts. They charge you after a trial for any parental limits, so stay away if you plan to manage kids time with this. The app and web interface are painfully slow. That said, this is rock solid internet connection but doesn't alert you if the satellite reception is weak or having issues.

If nothing else in the house is wifi6, will I see any difference between this and the RBK50 setup I currently am running in my house? I wonder if the backhaul works better.

I happen to have a ton of Kasa smart switches, a Ring doorbell and 5 cameras, and good mix of cellphones, computers, streaming devices, and gaming consoles.
