Go with the Asus. I've tried both and got much better coverage from the Zen.

On another note, apparently Netgear makes you pay for tech support after 90 days to actually use your warranty. That was a no go for me.

Other than moving to wifi 6 and the fancy chrome trim at the bottom, any reason to upgrade from the previous generation of Orbi? I got the additional two satellites currently with no issues. It's been working great!

I own this. Ugly as hell but great coverage. I get a signal about a half block down from my house.

Any reason to upgrade to this from the RBK50?
My RBK50 is maxing out at 500 speed on wi-fi. Yes, I know the box says it should go much faster than that, but I'm not getting any faster on any of my devices.

I just bought this model to go faster and get the speeds I'm paying for from Comcast.

I printed out my old receipt from 2017 or so, boxed it up in the original packaging, took it to customer service and said it wasn't working very well anymore and that I'd like store credit since I was going shopping

returned with no questions asked

GL!

Sadly, it's only a matter of time before they kill this policy for all electronics, not just TVs.

Returning something because it boke a couple weeks outside of warranty? Sure ok.
Returning something years later because you're upgrading? Not cool.

I own the RBK50 and RBS50 (1 satellite). I have not run into any issues yet but I did recently from switch Xfinity to AT&T Fiber where I pay for 1Gbps up/down. Is this worth the upgrade to WiFi 6 to take advantage of the better speeds? Currently the Orbi gets roughly ~350Mbps around the house and up to 500mbps right next to the router.

I think it may be useful for the better speeds once I get the next gen console where games are ~50GB downloads. Gamepass also makes it easy to access multiple games which is the main need for the higher throughput.

In for 1. Can't go wrong with the return policy and since I'm there weekly, it's no issue. Thanks OP.

Dumb question. Can I just use this with the modem/router combo that came with CenturyLink? Or do I need to get a new modem as well?

I'm paying for gigabit, but my modem/router combo isn't delivering close to that speed.

I bought this for the full MSRP the week it came out and have been extremely satisfied with it. The performance is great and it covers a large area. The only issue I've ran into in I think around a year and a half almost is one of the satellites had to be powered down and back on once since it stopped accepting new device connections for some reason.

conflicted between these or the ASUS ZenWiFi AX6600 I got for 377. Anyone have any thoughts? I've been reading some pretty poor reviews about Orbi/Netgear (and their paid support) in general on SD the past few days.
I have an older set of these and I would never buy them again. Major thing for me that I wasn't aware when I bought them was customer service department SUCKS! They want you to pay them if not they won't even try to help you
