Great find just bought one - I've been waiting for clearance in the warehouse.. the fact you get free shipping from costco.com is awesome. Same clearance price as it was 3 years ago despite all the supply chain issues and inflation we have going on.

Biggest issue is lack of removable fins. Major PITA to pack into the bag.

I actually like it because I don't have to worry about losing them

Bought one of these last summer. Have logged dozens of days on the waves/lakes/rivers and love it.

Then just leave your detachable fins attached.

With nondetachable fins, you don't have the choice.

I own one. It's not a bad buy for the price. But if you anticipate using the backpack a lot (ie, you don't park right next to where you paddle board) then I'd look for ones with detachable fins.

I suspect the comment was meant that he was worried the fins would get lost during use, but I'm not sure. I have an inflatable kayak with a removable fin that feels like it will come off easily and I expect to lose that eventually during use.

I have two of the Performer 11 boards and two others (Red Paddle and POP El Capitan) and never had any issues with packing. The Red and El Cap use US Finbox fins and they must be removed due to their long length if packing/bag carrying. Both styles work well. Regarding the boards and how they compare: Red is 12' and a excellent board, but not worth $1200. It's slightly faster but a pain to insert the plastic battens which are used to make the board more ridged. Odd design and they don't go in easily. The 11'6" El Capitan board is my kayak/isup camper as it's rock stable (36" wide") and has plenty of D-rings and bungies fore/aft.
Build quality on the Body Glove board is very high quality. I have the 2018 model too and it's been beat up on rivers, our Pacific, hitting rocks, etc., no problems. GF has the Dama 11' board and while it's fine, it's flexy with me as I'm 230lbs. Good board that paddles well, but I would still recommend the BG Performer
